Belkin Hdmi 2 Mtr Blk Gld

Belkin HDMI 2 Mtr Blk Gld

This Belkin HDMI cable is a 2 metre male-to-male lead in black with gold-plated connectors, made for carrying digital picture and sound between HDMI-equipped devices in a single connection. Connect a set-top box, streaming player, Blu-ray player, console or laptop to a TV, monitor or projector, and one cable handles both the video and the audio. The 2 metre length covers the standard living-room and desk distances, and Belkin’s long track record in cables makes this a dependable replacement for the thin, unbranded lead that came in a device box.

One cable for picture and sound

HDMI replaced a tangle of separate video and audio leads with a single digital connection, and that simplicity is the whole point of a cable like this. Plug one end into the HDMI output of the source and the other into an HDMI input on the display, select that input, and the picture and sound travel together. It is the standard connection for home entertainment and presentations alike: a laptop presenting on a meeting-room screen, a console on a living-room TV, or a media player feeding a projector all use exactly this lead.

Two metres of routing freedom

Two metres is the workhorse length for HDMI. It reaches from a player on a shelf to a wall-mounted TV, from a PC tower under a desk to the monitor on top, or from a console beside the screen to the receiver in the cabinet, with enough slack to route around furniture instead of pulling tight in a straight line. That slack matters: a cable under tension works its connectors loose and stresses the sockets, while a correctly sized cable sits relaxed and stays connected. If your measured route is much longer than 2 metres, choose a longer cable rather than stretching this one or joining two leads.

Gold-plated connectors and everyday durability

The connectors on this cable are gold-plated, which is what the Gld in its name refers to. Gold does not tarnish the way bare metal contacts can, so plated contacts resist the corrosion that gradually degrades a connection, especially in humid conditions. That makes gold-plated connectors a sensible choice for a cable that will stay plugged in behind a TV for years, and for one that is repeatedly connected and disconnected, such as a presentation laptop lead. The black jacket keeps the installation discreet against dark furniture and equipment.

Compatibility and setup checks

Any source and display with standard HDMI sockets can use this cable, and no drivers or settings on the cable itself are involved. If a picture does not appear, check the basics in order: both ends seated fully, the display set to the HDMI input you actually connected, and the source awake and outputting. The resolutions and features you ultimately get are set by the source and the display together with the cable; this listing supports Full HD and 4K video, which covers the great majority of home and office equipment in use today.

A straightforward 2 metre HDMI lead in black and gold from Belkin, this cable is the reliable everyday link between your sources and your screen.
