The BlueRigger 2RCA to 2RCA cable is a stereo analogue interconnect with two RCA male plugs at each end, carrying the left and right channels of a line-level signal between two pieces of audio equipment. The standard stereo link

RCA is still the everyday analogue connection on home audio equipment, and a 2RCA to 2RCA lead is the basic building block between components. One pair of plugs takes the stereo output of a source, the other lands on a line input of an amplifier, AV receiver or powered speakers. Because the signal is analogue and unbalanced, contact quality matters: a plug that grips its socket firmly keeps both channels present and free of the crackle a loose connection makes when the cable is moved. What this cable is, and is not

This is a passive analogue interconnect for line-level signals. It does not convert digital audio, so an optical or coaxial-only source still needs a converter ahead of it, and it contains no phono stage, so a turntable without a built-in preamp needs a phono input or an external phono preamplifier in the chain. It is not a speaker cable and must not be used between an amplifier’s speaker outputs and loudspeakers.
