MX XLR Male to Female Cable (1.5 m)
The MX XLR male to female cable is a 1.5 metre balanced audio lead – the standard patch cable of live sound and recording. One end plugs into the XLR output of a microphone, mixer or processor; the other presents an XLR socket ready for the input of the next device in the chain. This is the everyday workhorse length for desks, racks and small stages.
XLR connections carry audio in balanced form, which is why professional audio standardised on them: interference picked up along the run is cancelled at the receiving end, so the signal that arrives is the signal that left, even across a noisy stage.

Why Balanced XLR Is the Professional Default
A balanced cable sends the audio twice – once as-is and once polarity-inverted – over two conductors inside a shield. Any hum or interference that enters along the way lands identically on both conductors, and the receiving input subtracts one from the other, cancelling the noise while doubling the intended signal. That is why a microphone can sit tens of metres from a mixer on a stage full of lighting dimmers and still arrive clean. The 3-pin XLR connector adds a positive latch, so a cable crossing a stage floor stays connected when someone steps on it – a failure mode that has ended more performances than any broken wire.
