MX XLR Male to Female Cable (15m)
The MX XLR Male to Female Cable is a 15-metre balanced microphone cable with a 3-pin XLR male connector at one end and a 3-pin XLR female at the other: the standard lead for connecting a microphone to a mixer, and for linking mixers, powered speakers and stage boxes in a PA system.
Balanced wiring is what makes a 15-metre run practical. The signal travels on a twisted pair with a shield, and the receiving input cancels the hum and radio interference the cable picks up along the way, which is why professional audio standardised on XLR and balanced lines for exactly these distances across stages and halls. The locking XLR connectors also stay seated when a cable is tugged, unlike domestic audio plugs.

Why balanced matters at 15 metres
