The BenQ PD2725U is a 27-inch DesignVue designer monitor built around colour accuracy rather than gaming speed. Its IPS panel gives a 3840 x 2160 4K UHD picture at 163 pixels per inch, driven by BenQ’s AQCOLOR technology and factory-calibrated colour performance with an average Delta E of 3 or less. Coverage runs to 100 percent of sRGB, 100 percent of Rec. 709 and 95 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut, so the same screen can serve web and print design work in sRGB, video projects in Rec. 709 and wide-gamut content prepared for P3 displays.
Thunderbolt 3 is the centre of the desk setup. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports carry video, audio, data and power together: the main port delivers up to 65W to charge a connected laptop, and the second supports daisy-chaining to another 4K display as well as 15W charging. One cable to the laptop replaces the separate display cable, charger and USB hub lead, and a built-in USB hub with two USB 3.1 Type A downstream ports and a Type B upstream connection keeps peripherals attached to the monitor instead of the computer.

100 percent sRGB and Rec. 709, 95 percent DCI-P3 coverage
Two Thunderbolt 3 ports with up to 65W power delivery

Colour workflow and designer modes
The 10-bit panel displays 1.07 billion colours with a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits typical brightness and 400 nits peak brightness in HDR. Dedicated modes shape the picture for specific work: CAD/CAM mode increases contrast on lines and shapes in technical drawings, Animation mode lifts dark areas without overexposing bright ones, Darkroom mode suits work in dim environments, and DualView shows two colour modes side by side so a document can be checked in sRGB and P3 at once. Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture allow two sources to share the screen, and the monitor carries Calman and SolidWorks certification.
Connections and ergonomics
Beyond Thunderbolt, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs and a DisplayPort 1.4 input, HDCP 2.2 support, dual 2.5W speakers and a headphone jack. The stand adjusts through 150mm of height, tilts from minus 5 to 20 degrees, swivels 30 degrees each way and pivots 90 degrees into portrait orientation, with a 100 x 100mm VESA mount for arms and wall brackets. Flicker-free technology and low blue light modes reduce eye fatigue over long sessions, and the anti-glare surface keeps reflections down in bright studios.
For Mac and Windows designers, photographers and video editors who want a calibrated 4K screen that also docks and charges a laptop, the PD2725U combines display, hub and power in a single unit.
