Apple AirPods Pro 2 USB-C MTJV3HN/A

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) USB-C

The Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) with MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C) is Apple’s in-ear flagship, built around the H2 chip and a custom high-excursion driver. This is the USB-C revision: the case charges by USB-C, MagSafe, Qi chargers and an Apple Watch charger, carries a U1 chip for Precision Finding, and includes a built-in speaker and lanyard loop. Four sizes of silicone tips, from extra small to large, are included to get the seal that the noise cancellation depends on.

Key features

• Apple H2 chip with custom high-excursion driver and high dynamic range amplifier
• Active Noise Cancellation with Adaptive Audio and Transparency mode
• Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking
• Up to 6 hours per charge and up to 30 hours total with the case
• MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C) with speaker, lanyard loop and Precision Finding
• IP54 dust, sweat and water resistance for earbuds and case
• Bluetooth 5.3 with touch controls including swipe volume

Noise control that adapts

The H2 chip processes incoming sound fast enough to run Adaptive Audio, which blends noise cancellation and transparency according to your surroundings instead of forcing a fixed mode. Conversation Awareness lowers playback and lifts the voices in front of you when you start speaking, and Loud Noise Reduction protects against sudden harsh sounds in transparency. Underneath it all, the active cancellation is driven by dual beamforming microphones, an inward-facing microphone and the acoustic seal of the tips.

Sound shaped to your ears

Personalised Spatial Audio uses the shape of your ears, captured during setup, to place sound in space with dynamic head tracking, so film dialogue stays anchored to the screen and music keeps a stable stage as you move. Adaptive EQ measures the fit in real time and adjusts the low and mid frequencies accordingly, compensating for small differences in how the tips sit from day to day.

Battery and the USB-C case

Each charge gives up to 6 hours of listening with noise control active, or 5.5 hours with Spatial Audio and head tracking on, and the case extends that to up to 30 hours of listening and 24 hours of talk time. Five minutes in the case returns about an hour of listening. Moving the case to USB-C means one cable now covers a current iPhone, iPad, Mac and these AirPods, while MagSafe and Qi pads and an Apple Watch charger remain options. The case speaker plays a sound to help you find it, and Precision Finding guides you to it with a U1-equipped iPhone.

Controls and fit

Press the stem to play, pause, answer or end calls, press and hold to switch listening modes, and swipe up or down on the stem to change volume without reaching for the phone. Skin-detect sensors pause playback when you remove an earbud. At 5.3 g per earbud and 50.8 g for the case, the set disappears into a pocket, and the IP54 rating covers workouts and dusty commutes for both buds and case.

For listeners inside the Apple ecosystem who want one earbud for calls, travel, workouts and focused work, the AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) USB-C is the complete version of the design.
