boAt Airdopes Ace Starry Blue True Wireless Earbuds

boAt Airdopes Ace Starry Blue TWS Earbuds

The boAt Airdopes Ace is a pair of true wireless earbuds in Starry Blue, built around 13mm drivers with boAt Signature Sound, Bluetooth 5.3 and a pocketable charging case. Manufacturer specifications for the original Airdopes Ace give up to 8.5 hours of playback from the earbuds and up to 35 hours in total with the case, ENx technology on the dual microphones for clearer calls, BEAST mode for low latency listening, and an IPX5 rating against sweat and splashes. This is the original Ace, not the later Ace Gen 2.

Sound and drivers

Each earbud carries a 13mm dynamic driver, a large size for this class of earbud, tuned to boAt’s Signature Sound profile with an emphasis that suits pop, Bollywood, hip-hop and everyday streaming. The rated frequency range is 20Hz to 20kHz. Fit decides much of what you hear from any in-ear design, so use the ear tips that seal properly in your ears: a good seal improves bass response and keeps outside noise down without turning the volume up.

Battery, split properly

The headline 35 hour figure is a combined total. The earbuds themselves are rated for up to 8.5 hours of music playback, and the 300mAh charging case adds further charges to reach the total, with both figures quoted at moderate volume in the manufacturer’s material. ASAP Charge gives up to 120 minutes of playback from a 10 minute charge, which covers the common case of grabbing the earbuds on the way out. The earbuds hold 35mAh each, and the case charges over USB Type-C. Real runtime varies with volume, calls and how often BEAST mode is used.

Calls, gaming and controls

Dual microphones with ENx technology work on your voice during calls, reducing background noise for the person listening to you. ENx is call processing, not active noise cancellation for your own listening, and the original Ace does not claim ANC. BEAST mode cuts latency to a rated 50ms for gaming and video, where lip-sync and reaction time matter. Touch controls handle playback and calls, Insta Wake N Pair connects the earbuds when the case is opened after the first pairing, and a one-touch voice assistant is available from the earbuds.

Fit, resistance and daily use

The IPX5 rating means the earbuds resist sweat and light splashes, which suits workouts and commutes; it does not make them suitable for swimming, and they should be dry before going back in the case. Keep the charging contacts clean, store both buds in their correct sides of the case, and top the case up over Type-C so the set is ready as a unit. In Starry Blue, this listing is the colour variant to pick when comparing Ace listings, with the same original-model specification underneath.

For music, calls and casual gaming from one compact set, the original Airdopes Ace in Starry Blue covers the essentials: large drivers, a full day of combined playback, call noise processing and a sweat-resistant build.
