Beyer Dynamic Dt 770 PRO80

Beyer Dynamic Dt 770 PRO80

The beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO is the closed-back model in the classic DT PRO studio headphone range, a line that producers, sound engineers and broadcasters have relied on for decades. This is the 80 ohm version, built for professional sound monitoring in the studio and on mobile devices. Its closed construction, detailed resolution and transparent sound make it a dependable reference for recording and critical listening.

The DT 770 PRO reproduces the entire frequency range from 5 to 35,000 Hz with precision, and its innovative bass reflex system gives low frequencies a punchy, well-defined character instead of letting them blur. High frequencies are translated into an analytical, differentiated sound, while ultra-low bass stays crisp and controlled.

Why closed-back matters in the studio

A closed headphone keeps the sound in and the room out. When a singer or musician records against a backing track, the closed shell of the DT 770 PRO prevents the playback from leaking into the microphone, which is exactly why closed-back headphones are the standard choice for tracking. The same isolation works in reverse for the listener: ambient noise in a busy studio, office or control room is attenuated, so quiet details in a mix remain audible at moderate volume. Combined with top-notch impulse response, transients such as drum hits and plucked strings are reproduced with the speed and accuracy that editing and mixing decisions depend on.

Recording studios use the DT 770 PRO for tracking vocals and instruments, broadcasters rely on it for monitoring, and home producers use it as an affordable reference for mixing and editing when speakers are not an option. It is equally at home on a studio interface, a mixing desk or a mobile device, depending on the version chosen.
