Easy to drive, easy to place

The 48 ohm impedance is deliberate. Classic studio headphones often demanded a powerful dedicated amplifier, but the Pro X reaches working volume from an audio interface headphone output, a laptop or a phone with a wired connection. The single-sided 3 m cable keeps the lead on one side of your body while you move around a desk or microphone stand, and the screw-on adapter converts the 3.5 mm plug to 6.35 mm for console and interface sockets.

Comfort and service life

Velour pads breathe better than sealed leatherette during long sessions, and the headband includes a fontanelle recess that relieves pressure at the crown of the head. Clamping force is a firm 5.5 N, enough to hold the seal while you move, without turning the fit into a vice. Almost every wear part can be replaced, so a worn pad or damaged cable is a spare part, not a new headphone.
