The FiiO FT1 Black Closed-Back Headphone is a closed-back over-ear headphone built around a large 60 mm dynamic driver and genuine American black walnut ear cups. It is designed for listeners who want the scale and detail of a full-size audiophile headphone without sound leaking out into the room or the room leaking in. The closed design reduces outside noise by up to 26 dB, so late-night listening, focused work and quiet-room sessions stay private and undisturbed, while the walnut cups give the FiiO FT1 Black Closed-Back Headphone a warm, natural look that stands apart from plain plastic headphones.
Why Choose This Product?
The FiiO FT1 Black Closed-Back Headphone stands out because its driver is genuinely large: a 60 mm dynamic unit with a Nanowood fibre composite diaphragm, a W-shaped suspension that increases the effective vibration area by about 25.8 percent, and a U-shaped damping tube behind the driver that keeps the rear air volume working evenly. The result is bass that stays controlled rather than boomy, a midrange that keeps voices natural, and treble that reaches up to 40 kHz for Hi-Res Audio material. A ball-bearing slide-rail headband with 12 notches adjusts smoothly and stays where you set it, and the suede headband spreads the 340 gram weight so the headphone stays comfortable through long albums and films.

Best Suited For
The FiiO FT1 Black Closed-Back Headphone suits home listeners, students and office workers who want a full-size audiophile sound without disturbing others. It pairs well with a desktop DAC and headphone amplifier, a laptop, or a phone with a good dongle DAC, and it is a strong choice for classical, jazz, acoustic and vocal music where tone and space matter more than sheer bass quantity.
Setup and Connection Guide
Unbox the headphone, choose the 3.5 mm cable for phones and laptops or the 4.4 mm balanced cable for a balanced amplifier, and plug each 3.5 mm TRS connector into the left and right ear cups. Slide the headband until the ear cups sit fully around your ears, then set your source volume low and raise it gradually. If the headphone sounds quiet on a phone, add a compact USB DAC amplifier, which the 32 ohm impedance and 98 dB sensitivity make easy to drive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the FiiO FT1 Black Closed-Back Headphone good for quiet rooms?
Yes. The closed-back design and sealed ear cups cut outside noise by up to 26 dB and keep sound from leaking out, so it is well suited to shared rooms, libraries and late-night listening.
Does the FiiO FT1 Black Closed-Back Headphone need an amplifier?
No, it does not require one. At 32 ohms and 98 dB per mW it plays well from phones and laptops, but a dedicated headphone amplifier will give it more headroom and control, especially with Hi-Res material.
What cables come with the FiiO FT1 Black Closed-Back Headphone?
It ships with a 3.5 mm cable and a balanced 4.4 mm cable, both about 1.5 metres long, plus a 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm adapter for desktop amplifiers and a storage bag.
