Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless 80th Anniversary Edition

Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless 80th Anniversary Edition

The Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless 80th Anniversary Edition is a special-finish edition of the MOMENTUM 4, created in 2025 to mark 80 years of Sennheiser. Plainly stated: the hardware, sound and features are the MOMENTUM 4’s — what is special here is the artwork and the milestone it celebrates. Sennheiser collaborated with German multimedia graffiti artist Bond Truluv, and the result is a headphone designed to be looked at as well as listened to, produced as a limited edition for the anniversary year.

Key features

• Limited 80th Anniversary Edition finish by graffiti artist Bond Truluv
• Throwie-style artwork on the left earcup, sound-wave linework on the right
• Yellow 80 motif honouring the iconic HD 414
• Same 42 mm transducer system and Sennheiser Signature Sound
• Adaptive ANC with Transparency Mode
• Up to 60 hours of battery life with ANC active
• aptX Adaptive, Bluetooth 5.2 multipoint and Smart Control app support

The artwork, earcup by earcup

Bond Truluv treats the two earcups as two panels of one piece. The left bursts with a vibrant throwie-style character lost in sound — graffiti shorthand rendered in the quick, rounded letterforms of street writing. The right earcup takes the opposite approach: dynamic sound waves and intricate technical linework, a nod to the engineering inside. A yellow numeral 80 ties the design together and reaches back to the HD 414 of 1968, the first open headphone, famous for its yellow ear pads.

Nothing underneath has changed

It is worth being direct about what this edition is not. There is no anniversary-only driver, codec or battery: the specification matches the standard MOMENTUM 4 Wireless exactly. That is good news rather than a compromise, because the standard specification is strong — a 42 mm dynamic transducer with a 6 Hz to 22 kHz response, hybrid adaptive noise cancellation, four beamforming microphones for calls, and Bluetooth 5.2 with SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX Adaptive.

The everyday MOMENTUM 4 experience

Day to day, this behaves like every MOMENTUM 4: up to 60 hours of playback from the 700 mAh battery, a full charge in about 2 hours by USB-C, and roughly 4 hours of listening from a 5-minute charge. Sound Personalization and EQ live in the Smart Control app, touch controls and Smart Pause handle playback, and wired listening is available by cable or USB. Weight is approximately 293 g, with the same deep cushions, fold-flat earcups and carry case as the standard model.

Who the edition is for

Anniversary editions divide listeners. If you prefer your equipment invisible, the standard finishes exist for you. If you like objects that carry a story — eight decades of a German audio company, told through street art and a reference to its most recognisable headphone — this edition carries that story on the outside while sounding exactly like the MOMENTUM 4 should.

As a limited anniversary release, availability is tied to the edition’s production run rather than the standard model’s ongoing line. What you are choosing is the finish and the artwork; the listening is pure MOMENTUM 4.
