Sony WI-C310 Wireless Neckband (Blue)

The Sony WI-C310 is a wireless neckband earphone in blue, built for all-day everyday listening. A flexible neckband rests around the neck, 9 mm dynamic drivers deliver Sony’s clear, punchy in-ear sound, and Bluetooth 5.0 connects to phones, tablets and computers without a cable in the way. Battery life runs to up to 15 hours of continuous playback, a 10-minute quick charge returns about an hour of listening, and magnetic earbuds snap together tidily when the music stops. At approximately 19 g, the WI-C310 is light enough to wear from the morning commute to the end of the day.

Sound and driver design

Sony fits the WI-C310 with 9 mm dome-type dynamic drivers using neodymium magnets, in a closed in-ear design with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Small drivers in a well-sealed in-ear fit produce the model’s character: clear vocals, present detail and a punchy low end that suits pop, film scores, podcasts and calls alike. The seal of the earbuds in the ear does much of the work, so choosing the right size from the hybrid silicone earbuds supplied in the box matters for both bass and comfort.

Supported Bluetooth codecs are SBC and AAC, so the earphones pair cleanly with both Android phones and iPhones at their best standard quality. There is no active noise cancelling on this model; isolation is passive, from the in-ear fit itself, which keeps the design light, simple and long-running on a charge.

Battery, charging and the neckband format

Up to 15 hours of continuous playback covers several days of commuting or a full working day of music and calls without thinking about the battery, and standby stretches to about 200 hours. When the battery does run low at the wrong moment, quick charging restores roughly 60 minutes of playback from 10 minutes connected. Charging is over USB Type-C with the supplied cable, and a full charge takes approximately 3 hours.

The neckband format is the practical core of the design. The band rests around the neck so the earbuds are always within reach, the controls and battery sit in the neckband rather than weighing down the earbuds themselves, and when you take the buds out they hang safely instead of disappearing into a pocket or onto the floor. The magnetic backs of the earbuds snap together around your neck, keeping the cable tidy and the earbuds paired up when not in use. The magnets are for neat storage; playback control stays on the inline remote.

Calls, controls and voice assistants

An inline remote and microphone on the cable handle the daily controls: volume, play and pause, track changes and answering calls. The built-in microphone supports hands-free calling, and the multi-function button gives access to the voice assistant on the connected phone, including Google Assistant and Siri, for checking messages, setting reminders or changing music by voice. Bluetooth profiles supported are A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP over a 2.4 GHz connection with a typical range of about 10 metres.

In this blue finish the WI-C310 carries the same specification as the other colours in the range. For commuters, students and anyone who prefers earbuds that cannot be dropped, lost in a bag or left behind one at a time, the neckband design remains a dependable answer, and the WI-C310 is Sony’s straightforward execution of it.

Choose the Sony WI-C310 in blue for a light, long-running wireless earphone that is always ready around your neck: up to 15 hours of playback, quick charging for short-notice top-ups, magnetic earbuds and simple controls for music and calls all day.
