Godox MoveLink Mini UC Kit 2 Wireless Microphone System

Godox MoveLink Mini UC Kit 2 Wireless Microphone System

The Godox MoveLink Mini UC Kit 2 is a compact 2.4 GHz wireless microphone system with two transmitters and a USB-C receiver, made for creators who record people rather than studios: interviews, wedding vows, classes, reels, and two-person conversations where a cable to the camera is impossible. The receiver plugs directly into a phone or tablet’s USB-C port, so the whole system travels in its charging case and deploys in seconds.

Each transmitter has a built-in microphone and a clip for clothing, so there are no bodypack cables to manage; external lavalier microphones can be connected where a more discreet setup is wanted. The kit’s two-transmitter layout covers the standard interview format — presenter and guest, both wired for sound, one receiver on the phone — and the system records both channels for editing. Godox rates the wireless range at up to 100 metres in open conditions.

Why two transmitters matter

Most recorded conversation is between two people. A single-channel kit forces a choice — mic the presenter and shout the questions, or pass one microphone back and forth. The Kit 2 removes the compromise at the price point where creators actually buy, and the phone-native receiver removes the second compromise, the camera rig.

In use

Clip the transmitters at chest height, keep the phone receiver’s path to them as unobstructed as pockets and bodies allow, and monitor the recording on headphones for the first minute of any new location — 2.4 GHz environments vary, and a test recording is cheaper than a lost interview. Set levels so speech peaks stay comfortably below clipping; the system is designed to be forgiving, not to replace listening.

Who it suits

Wedding filmmakers adding vows and speeches to phone or hybrid coverage, teachers and coaches recording lessons, journalists and documentarians working light, and creators whose format is two people talking. If your recording is one person at a desk, the single-transmitter kit is enough; if it is conversation, this is the kit.

Two voices, one phone, no cables — the MoveLink Mini UC Kit 2 is built exactly for the way creators now record.

Ownership notes

Charge the transmitters and case together after each shoot day and store the kit closed; wireless systems fail on logistics — flat batteries and missing receivers — far more often than on electronics. Label the transmitters if your team runs several kits, and keep the windscreens with them. A small pre-shoot ritual — charge, check, test-record — is all the maintenance this class of system asks for.
