The Mirfak MC1 is a clip-on lavalier microphone that captures clear, natural voice for video, interviews, vlogging and streaming without a bulky setup. Its omni-directional electret condenser capsule picks up sound from all directions, so it stays forgiving if the speaker turns their head, and its 6-metre anti-interference cable gives plenty of reach from a camera, phone, PC or audio recorder. A gold-plated 3.5 mm four-pole plug connects directly to most smartphones, DSLRs, camcorders and laptops, and the included LR44 battery powers the microphone where plug-in power is not available. The Mirfak MC1 is the simplest possible upgrade from a camera or phone’s built-in microphone, and the difference in voice clarity is immediate.
Why Choose Mirfak MC1?
Built-in microphones sit far from the speaker and pick up room echo, handling noise and camera sounds, which is why even good cameras produce thin, distant voice audio. The Mirfak MC1 fixes the problem at its source by placing a small condenser capsule centimetres from the speaker’s mouth, clipped discreetly to clothing. The omni-directional pattern keeps levels steady as the speaker moves, the long cable allows the camera to sit at a proper framing distance, and the wind muff reduces breath and outdoor wind noise. At its price, the Mirfak MC1 is one of the most cost-effective audio upgrades a creator can buy, and it works with the devices most creators already own, with no app, receiver or charging routine to manage.
Key Features of Mirfak MC1
Omni-directional condenser capsule: Electret condenser capsule with 360-degree pickup keeps voice levels steady as the speaker moves.
6-metre cable: A durable 6-metre anti-interference cable gives generous reach from camera to speaker.
Gold-plated 3.5 mm plug: A 3.5 mm four-pole gold plug connects to smartphones, DSLRs, camcorders, PCs and recorders.
LR44 battery included: An included LR44 battery powers the microphone where plug-in power is unavailable.
Clip and wind muff included: A metal clip and wind muff are included for discreet mounting and reduced wind and breath noise.
Best Suited For
The Mirfak MC1 suits YouTubers, interviewers, wedding videographers, teachers, podcasters recording on camera, and streamers who need clean voice audio on a budget. It fits smartphones, DSLRs, camcorders, laptops and audio recorders. It is a wired mono voice microphone, so it is not designed for stereo music recording or noisy environments where a directional shotgun microphone would isolate the speaker better.
Setup and Connection Guide
Clip the Mirfak MC1 to clothing about 15 to 20 cm below the speaker’s mouth, centred on the chest, and fit the wind muff for outdoor or breath-sensitive recording. Connect the 3.5 mm plug to your camera, phone or recorder, checking that your device recognises an external microphone, and confirm the LR44 battery is fitted if your device does not supply plug-in power. Run the 6-metre cable neatly so it does not tug the clip, record a short test, and adjust input gain so normal speech peaks safely without distortion. Keep the cable away from power adapters and motors to avoid interference.
