RØDE Wireless ME Dual Compact Wireless Microphone System

RØDE Wireless ME Dual

The RØDE Wireless ME Dual is an ultra-compact wireless microphone system with two transmitters and one receiver, made for two-person interviews, podcasts, wedding films and content shot on cameras, phones and computers. Each transmitter has a broadcast-grade omnidirectional microphone built in, so there is nothing else to buy or wire up: clip a transmitter to each speaker, connect the receiver, and record. Intelligent GainAssist technology manages levels automatically, which removes the most common way mobile recordings are ruined.

Three microphones from one small kit

Uniquely, the receiver contains a microphone of its own. With both transmitters clipped to two speakers and the receiver mounted on the camera, the system can capture three sources at once: both sides of an interview plus the person behind the camera. For solo creators, the receiver microphone doubles as a voiceover mic for pieces to camera and narration recorded while editing.

Audio quality is proper recording grade rather than accessory grade: a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range, 100 dB dynamic range and 24-bit, 48 kHz conversion. Each unit measures just 44 by 45.3 by 18.3 mm and weighs 32 g, so a transmitter disappears on a collar and the whole dual set travels in the included pouch.

GainAssist: levels that look after themselves

GainAssist uses intelligent algorithms to control recording level in real time, lifting quiet speech and pulling back sudden loud moments before they clip. For creators who cannot monitor with headphones while filming, or who hand a transmitter to a guest and press record, it is the difference between usable audio and a retake. The transmitters also accept an external lavalier microphone on a 3.5 mm input when a more discreet placement is wanted.

Connections for camera, phone and computer

The receiver outputs analogue audio over 3.5 mm TRS for cameras and digital audio over USB-C for phones and computers, with cables for camera, USB-C and Lightning devices included in the box, along with furry windshields for outdoor recording. Configuration and firmware are handled in the RØDE Central app, and the system is compatible with the wider RØDE Series IV family, so it can grow alongside a creator’s setup.

The box is equally complete: three furry windshields for outdoor recording, connection cables for cameras, USB-C devices and Lightning phones, and a carry pouch that holds the whole set. Two MagClip GO magnetic clips are also included, giving a second attachment option for the receiver on magnet-compatible phones and clothing where a spring clip is awkward.

Designed and made in Sydney, Australia, the Wireless ME Dual is the simplest route to clean two-person audio: no menus, no gain guesswork and no wires between the speakers and the camera.
