Description
Saramonic SR-BV1 Dynamic Broadcasting Microphone
The Saramonic SR-BV1 is a dynamic broadcast microphone for podcasters, streamers and voice artists who want the close, warm sound of a radio studio from an ordinary room. Its large 30 mm dynamic capsule is voiced for speech: round in the bass, detailed in the midrange where intelligibility lives, and smooth at the top.
The cardioid pickup pattern concentrates on the voice in front of the microphone and rejects sound from the sides and rear – room reflections, computer fans, street noise. Because the SR-BV1 is dynamic, it needs no phantom power, shrugs off loud sources without distortion, and works plugged straight into any audio interface or mixer with an XLR input.
Key Features
- Large 30 mm dynamic capsule voiced for broadcast speech
- Cardioid pattern – high background-noise rejection for untreated rooms
- Wide 20 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response
- Built-in pop filter plus removable foam windscreen for close work
- Integrated swivel shockmount isolates rumble and vibration
- Gold-plated XLR connector
- All-metal construction with adjustable mounting bracket
Close-up sound without the fuss
Broadcast tone comes from working close to the microphone, and the SR-BV1 is equipped for it: the built-in pop filter and foam windscreen tame the plosive blasts that close talking produces, and the integrated shockmount keeps boom-arm bumps and desk knocks out of the take. The adjustable bracket mounts on any standard stand or boom and lets you angle the mic precisely – set it once and every session starts in seconds.
Who it suits
Podcasters recording in living rooms, streamers who need their voice to cut through game audio, voice-over artists building a home setup, and interviewers who record two people in imperfect spaces – the SR-BV1’s rejection and forgiving dynamic character keep the focus on the voice.
Full technical data – capsule, pattern, response and mounting – is listed in the specifications table on this page.
