Yamaha P-45B 88-Key Digital Piano

Yamaha P-45B Digital Piano

The Yamaha P-45B Digital Piano is an 88-key weighted digital piano that gives beginners and returning players a genuine acoustic-piano feel at an entry-level price. Its Graded Hammer Standard keyboard is heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble, just like an acoustic piano, and its AWM stereo piano voice carries practice sessions, lessons and quiet home playing without needing a room full of equipment.

Why Choose the Yamaha P-45B Digital Piano?

Weighted keys matter more than any other feature when you are learning, because they build finger strength and dynamic control that transfer directly to an acoustic piano. The P-45B pairs that keybed with four touch-sensitivity settings, so a light touch plays softly and a firm touch plays loudly, and with 64-note polyphony that holds sustained chords without dropping notes. Ten built-in voices cover piano, electric piano, organ, strings and more, and the slim 11.5 kg body sits on a table or an optional stand and moves easily between rooms.

Key Features

The Yamaha P-45B Digital Piano keeps the focus on playing, with simple controls and no distracting display.

• 88-key Graded Hammer Standard keyboard: weighted action that is heavier in the low keys and lighter in the high keys, like an acoustic piano.
• AWM stereo sampling: a recorded acoustic piano voice with natural decay and presence across the keyboard.
• 64-note polyphony: enough simultaneous notes for sustained chords, pedalled passages and layered playing.
• 10 voices: piano, electric piano, organ, strings and other instrument sounds for practice and variety.
• Four touch settings: hard, medium, soft and fixed response, so the keyboard matches your playing strength.
• USB-to-host connection: connect to a computer or smart device for lesson apps, recording software and MIDI practice tools.

Best Suited For

The Yamaha P-45B Digital Piano suits first-time learners, school students, adult beginners returning to the piano, and households where practice must stay quiet. It fits bedrooms, study corners and classrooms, and it works well for teachers who want a consistent, portable instrument for home visits. Because it has no display and no Bluetooth, it also suits players who prefer to practise without screens and menus getting in the way.

Setup and Connection Guide

Setting up the Yamaha P-45B Digital Piano takes minutes. Place it on a sturdy table or a compatible keyboard stand, attach the music rest, and connect the supplied power adapter and footswitch. Plug headphones into the headphone jack for silent practice, or use the audio output for an amplifier or speaker when playing for others. To use lesson apps or recording software, connect the USB-to-host port to a computer or smart device with a standard USB cable; the piano works as a MIDI controller for compatible apps. Keep the instrument away from direct sunlight and heaters, and wipe the keys with a soft dry cloth.
