The Ahuja AWM-495V2 is a dual-channel VHF wireless microphone system for public address work, supplied with two handheld transmitters and one tabletop receiver. Each handheld uses a dynamic cardioid microphone element and transmits on its own frequency, so two speakers, singers or presenters can work at the same time without passing a microphone between them or trailing cables across the floor.

The system operates on quartz-crystal-locked VHF high-band frequencies for stable reception. The receiver carries two telescopic antennas, separate level controls for each channel, and both individual and mixed outputs, which makes it straightforward to connect to a PA amplifier or mixer and balance two voices independently.

Two voices, independently controlled

Reception and setup

Fresh AA cells in each handheld before an event, spares in the kit bag, and a walk of the full coverage area during soundcheck are the habits that keep a wireless system uneventful.
