BenQ LU935ST WUXGA Short Throw Laser Projector

BenQ LU935ST WUXGA Short Throw Laser Projector – Big, Bright Images From Half a Room Away

The LU935ST is the short-throw member of BenQ’s LU laser installation family, and it exists for spaces with more width than depth: golf-simulator bays, exhibition walls, retail displays and meeting rooms where a conventional projector would sit in the middle of the audience. Its 0.81–0.89 lens fills a large WUXGA image from a short distance, its BlueCore laser delivers 5,500 ANSI lumens, and HDBaseT keeps the cabling to a single run – the combination that has made it a default specification for simulator builders.

Key features

• WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution for data-rich content
• 5,500 ANSI lumens from a long-life BlueCore laser
• Short throw 0.81–0.89 – large images from close range
• Accepts 4K input signals and scales to its native format
• HDBaseT built in for single-cable installation
• 360-degree and portrait projection support
• Laser sealed engine for low-maintenance, always-on duty
• Corner-fit and geometric correction tools for imperfect walls

Built for the simulator bay

Golf simulation is the LU935ST’s signature application, and it is a demanding one: the projector must sit close enough to avoid the player’s shadow, bright enough for a lit bay, and sharp enough that a virtual fairway reads as terrain rather than texture. WUXGA resolution at short range with 5,500 lumens answers all three, which is why simulator installers across markets standardise on this class of machine – and why the same traits suit flight, racing and design-visualisation rigs.

Short throw solves real rooms

Exhibition stands, museum walls and boardrooms share a geometry problem: the audience stands where a long-throw projector needs to be. Short throw moves the unit to the screen wall, out of traffic, out of sightlines, and close enough that presenters stop casting shadows on their own slides. The 1.1x zoom gives installers the small adjustment range that real rooms always demand.

Laser installation economics

Sealed laser optics resist the dust that degrades open lamp engines in public spaces, brightness holds across years of daily operation, and there is no lamp budget line. For venues running signage and simulation twelve hours a day, the LU935ST’s total cost profile is the argument that ends the meeting.

Plan the screen around its actual 0.81–0.89 throw and WUXGA format, and this is the professional way to put a very large, very bright image in a room that was never built for one.
