Description
Epson EH-TW5820 Full HD Android TV Home Cinema Projector
The Epson EH-TW5820 Full HD Android TV Home Cinema Projector is an affordable Full HD home cinema projector with built-in Android TV, made for big-screen films, sport and gaming at home. The Epson EH-TW5820 Full HD Android TV Home Cinema Projector delivers 2,700 lumens of Full HD 1920 x 1080 projection with a 70,000:1 contrast ratio, images up to 300 inches, and a 10 W speaker with Bluetooth aptX for easy connection to a soundbar or headphones. Its 1.6x zoom and vertical lens shift make placement fuss-free.
Why Choose Epson EH-TW5820 Full HD Android TV Home Cinema Projector?
Android TV removes the need for a separate streaming box: apps, casting and Google Assistant run on the projector itself, while frame interpolation and detail enhancement keep fast action smooth and sharp. The Epson EH-TW5820 Full HD Android TV Home Cinema Projector also carries a long-life 200 W lamp rated at 4,500 hours normal and 7,500 hours Eco, which Epson frames as up to 11 years of a film a day. Gaming features include a 21:9 ultrawide mode and dark gamma uplift.
Key Features
- Built-in Android TV: stream and cast directly, with Google Assistant voice control
- 2,700 lumens Full HD brightness: 1,780 lumens Eco, 70,000:1 contrast for deep blacks
- Images up to 300 inches: 1.6x manual zoom, throw 1.33-2.00:1, vertical lens shift plus-minus 60 percent
- 10 W speaker plus Bluetooth aptX: built-in sound or wireless connection to a soundbar or headphones
- Gaming features: frame interpolation, detail enhancement, 21:9 mode and dark gamma uplift
Best Suited For
The Epson EH-TW5820 Full HD Android TV Home Cinema Projector is best suited for living rooms, bedrooms and dedicated home cinema spaces where a large Full HD image and built-in streaming are wanted without a separate player. It fits families upgrading from a TV, gamers who want a huge screen, and buyers who want an affordable route into home cinema.
Setup and Connection Guide
Place the projector 2.35 to 3.82 metres from the screen for an 80-inch image (further for larger sizes), connect a source over HDMI 1.4 if a player is used, or sign in to Android TV over Wi-Fi for streaming. Use the 1.6x zoom, vertical lens shift and plus-minus 30-degree keystone controls to square the picture, then pair a Bluetooth soundbar or headphones, or use the 10 W speaker. Keep the projector ventilated and the lens clean for best brightness.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the TW5820 and the TW5825?
The two share the same 2,700-lumen Full HD Android TV platform, but the TW5820 includes vertical lens shift, which the TW5825 manual marks as TW5820-only. The Epson EH-TW5820 Full HD Android TV Home Cinema Projector is therefore the more flexible of the pair for off-centre placement.
Does it need a streaming stick?
No, Android TV is built in, with Chromecast-style casting and Google Assistant.
What is the lamp life?
The 200 W UHE lamp lasts 4,500 hours normal and 7,500 hours Eco.
