Optoma UHD35+ 4K Uhd Home Cinema Gaming Projector With 4000 Lumens

Optoma UHD35+ – 4K Cinema Brightness With Console-Class Gaming Speed

The Optoma UHD35+ is a 4K UHD DLP home projector that refuses to choose between cinema and gaming. Its 4,000 lumens light up large screens in rooms that are not fully darkened, while Enhanced Gaming mode delivers input lag as low as 4.2 ms at 1080p/240Hz and around 16 ms at 4K, fast enough for competitive play on a 100-inch-plus image.

For films, the specification is equally complete: true 4K UHD resolution with HDR10 and HLG support, a 500,000:1 contrast ratio and 3D compatibility. Two HDMI 2.0 inputs take a console and a streamer or UHD player, so the same projector serves movie night and match day.

Gaming on a wall-sized screen

Input lag is the delay between a controller input and the image changing, and it decides whether a big-screen game feels responsive or swimmy. The UHD35+ is one of the few 4K projectors engineered around it: at 1080p it accepts a 240Hz signal and answers in 4.2 ms, comparable to gaming monitors, while 4K play stays near 16 ms. Racing, sports and shooter titles keep their snap, and the sheer scale of a projected image adds the immersion no television at this price can match.

Cinema credentials

With the game paused, the same machine is a serious film projector. The DLP chip’s 8.3 million pixels resolve genuine 4K detail, HDR10 tone mapping keeps highlights and shadow detail in balance, and 4,000 lumens mean the picture survives curtains-open daylight viewing for sport and family films. A colour wheel tuned for accuracy keeps skin tones natural rather than showroom-lurid.

Who the UHD35+ suits

Choose the UHD35+ for a living room or media room that must do both: films and sport on a big screen by evening, fast gaming whenever. It suits screens of roughly 100 to 150 inches and owners who would rather buy one bright, fast projector than compromise either use case.

Ownership and lamp life

The UHD35+ uses a conventional lamp light source, rated by Optoma for up to 15,000 hours in Dynamic Black mode and fewer at full brightness – still years of films and matches for most households. Replacement lamps are widely available and user-swappable, and the projector’s menu tracks usage so there are no surprises mid-season. Keep the vents clear and the filter clean, and the machine’s running costs stay close to the price of the occasional lamp.
