The single-chip DLP engine uses XPR fast-switching to place all 8.3 million pixels of a 4K UHD frame on screen, and HDR10 tone mapping improves compatible video content. The laser source starts almost instantly, holds brightness across its life and avoids the colour drift and replacement cycle of UHP lamps. Rated noise is low for the class, between 26 and 29 dB depending on brightness mode, which matters in smaller meeting rooms.
Installation flexibility
A throw ratio of 1.30:1 to 2.08:1 with 1.6x zoom covers varied room depths, and the lens shift range lets the image be squared up without moving the mount. When the projector cannot sit perfectly square to the screen, 12-point warping adjusts each section of the image independently — a step beyond basic keystone correction that preserves geometry on imperfect walls.
Connectivity
Two HDMI inputs, two USB ports, HDBaseT, RS-232C and IP control wire the projector into room systems, while built-in Wi-Fi supports Miracast mirroring and Bluetooth audio output to external speakers. Twin 5 W speakers cover voice content in huddle spaces. At 370 x 290 x 156 mm and 9.7 kg, the BU50NST fits standard ceiling mounts.
