Bowers & Wilkins M-1 Black Satellite Speaker

Bowers & Wilkins M-1 Black Satellite Speaker

Bowers & Wilkins M-1 Black Satellite Speaker
Bowers & Wilkins M-1 Black is a passive compact satellite loudspeaker in the Black finish. Its two-way design suits a properly amplified stereo or home-cinema channel where a smaller cabinet is useful. Why Choose Bowers & Wilkins M-1 Black? M-1 combines a 25mm metal-dome tweeter and 100mm woven glass-fibre bass/midrange driver. The multi-position foot supports the documented placement options, while a separately selected compatible stand can provide another arrangement. Plan the intended orientation and speaker cable path before positioning it near the screen or listening area. The compact size does not add built-in amplification or network music, so use an appropriate receiver or amplifier. Confirm the supplied mounting accessories and quantity rather than treating a system photograph as a complete surround package. Key Features – Compact satellite cabinet: practical channel placement. – Two-way design: dedicated treble and bass/midrange. – Glass-fibre cone: documented 100mm driver. – Black finish: selected cabinet appearance. Best Suited For
Stereo music listening and appropriately planned home-cinema channels using a suitable external amplifier. Choose speaker positions around the main listening seat, usable floor space and furniture. A loudspeaker is one part of the system: the source, amplifier and room influence the result, while secure placement helps maintain a consistent listening arrangement. Setup and Connection Guide
Switch the amplifier off before connecting suitable speaker cable and maintain matching positive and negative polarity at both ends. Follow the exact terminal and link instructions, especially where bi-wiring connections are provided. Position the speakers on stable support, allow the recommended cabinet clearance and start with a balanced distance from the listening seat. Test familiar music quietly, then adjust spacing and angle in small steps. In a receiver-based system, assign channels and run the supported calibration before checking crossover and playback levels. Frequently Asked Questions
Can M-1 play as a powered wireless speaker like Formation Flex? No. M-1 is a passive speaker driven through its speaker connection by an external amplifier. Formation Flex has built-in amplification and network-source functions. Choose the model around the actual signal and power arrangement. Can these speakers play music directly from a phone without an amplifier? These are passive loudspeakers. A phone supplies a source signal, while an appropriate amplifier provides the power for the speaker terminals. Add compatible source equipment for Bluetooth or network music rather than assuming those functions are built into the cabinet. Does the amplifier recommendation mean that much power is always used? No. It is a matching guideline under the manufacturer’s stated conditions. Actual output varies with the signal and listening level. Check the amplifier’s load capability and avoid clipping; a higher numerical rating alone does not establish a safe or useful pairing. Technical Specifications Specification
