Lithe Audio 6.5″ Wi-Fi Ceiling Speaker (IP44, Pair)

Lithe Audio 6.5-inch Wi-Fi Ceiling Speaker (IP44, Pair) – Multiroom Sound Built for Bathrooms and Kitchens

This Lithe Audio ceiling speaker pair is the Wi-Fi model with an IP44 moisture rating, built specifically for bathrooms, kitchens and covered outdoor areas where ordinary electronics cannot live. The pair combines one powered master speaker with one passive partner: connect them to mains power and a complete streaming zone appears in the ceiling, with no amplifier, no streamer and no visible equipment in the room.

The IP44 rating is what defines this version. It certifies protection against splashing water from any direction, which is exactly the environment of a bathroom with a shower or a kitchen with steam and cooking spray. Note that this is the Wi-Fi-only pair: streaming comes over your home network, with Bluetooth also on board for quick direct playback from a phone.

Why ceiling speakers suit wet rooms

Bathrooms and kitchens are where music is wanted and where portable speakers fare worst: steam, splashes and wet surfaces shorten their lives, and they occupy worktop space that is already scarce. A ceiling installation removes the equipment from harm entirely. Sound arrives evenly from above, the room stays visually clean, and the speakers become part of the building rather than another object to charge, move and clean around. For renovations and new builds, the cabling is simple: a power feed to the master and one speaker cable across to its passive partner.

Streaming and multiroom behaviour

Over Wi-Fi, the pair behaves like any modern multiroom zone. Send music with AirPlay 2 from Apple devices, use Spotify Connect from within the Spotify app, or group the bathroom with the kitchen and living room Lithe zones for whole-home playback that follows you through the morning. Bluetooth covers guests and quick one-off listening without joining the network. Volume and grouping live in the apps you already use, so there is nothing new to learn.

Who this pair suits

Choose the IP44 Wi-Fi pair for a bathroom, ensuite, kitchen or covered terrace in a renovation or new build, especially where it joins a wider Lithe Audio multiroom plan. It suits homeowners and installers who want proper, even sound in wet areas without visible hardware. If the room is dry and you need ceiling speakers for a television zone instead, consider placement and the wider system design first; this pair’s talents are streaming and moisture resistance.
