The CWM664 is the entry point to Bowers & Wilkins in-wall sound that still behaves like a real hi-fi speaker. This two-way design places a 150mm woven glass fibre bass/midrange driver below a 25mm soft dome tweeter, both mounted in a frame that sits just 4mm proud of the wall behind a magnetic, paintable grille. The result is stereo sound that leaves the room visually untouched – no cabinets, no stands, no cables across the floor.
B&W gives the CWM664 a three-position high-frequency switch on the baffle, so treble can be trimmed after installation to suit a lively tiled room or a soft, furnished one. Sensitivity of 87.5dB and a 25 to 130 watt amplifier window make it an easy partner for multi-room amplifiers and AV receivers alike.

Fitting In-Wall Speakers, Briefly
Plan the cavities before boards go up: the CWM664 needs a 279 x 183mm cut-out and 95mm of clear depth, free of pipes, ducts and cabling. Run speaker cable to each position during first fix, use the PMK W6 pre-mount kit to reserve the openings, and add the BB 6W back box where you want controlled bass and less sound leaking into the room behind. Frames connect to the cables and the baffle plugs in – the QuickDog clamps do the rest, no separate brackets.
