Work Pro NEO 6 Line Wall Speaker (Pair)

Work Pro NEO 6 Line Wall Speaker (Pair)

The Work Pro NEO 6 Line is a two-way passive wall-mount loudspeaker from Equipson’s Work Pro NEO installation series, supplied as a matched pair with metal wall brackets. Built around a 6.5-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter, it is designed for permanent installed sound in cafés, restaurants, retail spaces, offices, hotels, houses of worship and homes — anywhere background and foreground music needs to be clear, even and unobtrusive.

What makes the NEO 6 Line especially flexible for installers is its dual personality: a five-position rotary switch on the rear selects 100 V line taps (32, 16, 8 or 4 W) or 70 V line taps (16, 8, 4 or 2 W) for distributed commercial systems, or a low-impedance 8 ohm position rated at 60 W continuous for conventional stereo and AV amplifiers. One loudspeaker model therefore covers everything from a single-room home setup to a multi-zone venue running long cable runs from a line amplifier.

How 100 V Line Systems Work

In a 100 V (constant-voltage) installation, the amplifier feeds a distribution line at high voltage and each loudspeaker draws only its tapped wattage through a built-in transformer. This keeps cable losses low over long runs, lets many speakers share one amplifier channel, and allows individual zones to be level-matched by tap selection. The NEO 6 Line’s transformer taps make it a natural fit for paging-plus-music systems in commercial spaces, while the 8 ohm bypass keeps it equally at home on a standard hi-fi amplifier.

Installation and Use

Each speaker mounts on its included metal bracket, which can be aimed in two axes so coverage lands on the listening area rather than the ceiling or floor. The IP54 enclosure rating adds peace of mind in kitchens, bathrooms, covered terraces and other damp locations. Typical roles include background music in hospitality and retail, speech reinforcement in meeting rooms and classrooms, and surround or height duty in discreet home cinemas.
