Atlantic Technology IC-6HT Angled In-Ceiling Speaker
Atlantic Technology IC-6HT is a passive home-theatre ceiling speaker with a 15-degree angled 6.5-inch woofer. Its directional arrangement helps aim sound towards the listening area in a planned recessed front-channel installation. Why Choose Atlantic Technology IC-6HT? Choose the IC-6HT when front left, centre or right sound needs a ceiling-mounted layout. It combines the angled woofer with a 1-inch tweeter and discreet magnetic grille. Channel placement, aiming and speaker-to-seat geometry are central to the result; the angled format should be selected around the actual listening positions and available cavity depth rather than installed wherever a grille fits. Key Features – Angled woofer: 15-degree orientation towards the room. – Two-way drivers: 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter. – Front-channel role: designed for recessed home-theatre front-stage use. – Discreet grille: thin bezel and magnetic attachment. Best Suited For
Discreet installed music and home-theatre layouts where recessed speakers suit the room design. Decide the channel role and listening positions before selecting mounting locations. Speaker size, angle and usable cavity depth matter independently; a physically similar grille does not establish identical installation requirements. Setup and Connection Guide
Check the manual’s cut-out, mounting depth and ceiling requirements before making an opening. Allow space for cables and connectors, confirm the supporting structure and use an appropriate installation method. With the amplifier off, connect suitable speaker cable with consistent polarity and check that the amplifier supports the resulting load. Test sound and channel routing before closing the installation. Adjust aiming where supported and verify coverage from the seats where music or film sound will be heard. Frequently Asked Questions
Is IC-6HT identical to a straight-down ceiling music speaker? No. Its angled woofer is intended to direct sound towards the listening area, particularly for a recessed front stage. Use its placement guidance when deciding the channel role and mounting position. Can these passive ceiling speakers stream music by themselves? A passive loudspeaker requires suitable amplification and a source. Recessed mounting does not add Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or a music player. Choose the upstream equipment for the desired streaming and control functions. Can I cut the ceiling using only the outside grille diameter? No. The cut-out and mounting depth are separate dimensions. Check the exact model’s template and usable cavity, including cables, before cutting; a grille measurement is not an installation template.
