BenQ RE6504 65-inch Interactive Panel

The BenQ RE6504 is a 65-inch interactive display from the BenQ Board Essential RE04 series, built for classrooms and meeting spaces. Its 4K UHD IPS panel (3840 x 2160) carries Precision IR touch supporting up to 40 simultaneous touch points with a touch response time of 5 ms or less, behind 3.2 mm tempered glass with 9H hardness and an anti-glare coating. The board is EDLA-certified and runs Android 13 with integrated Google services, so applications install directly from Google Play and files open from Google Drive on the board itself. BenQ’s EZWrite whiteboarding software provides an expandable canvas with handwriting and shape recognition, AI-assisted tools such as text extraction from images, multilingual translation and text-to-speech.

Display and touch surface

The IPS panel delivers a 10-bit colour depth (1.07 billion colours) across a 72 percent NTSC gamut, with an 8 ms grey-to-grey response time, a 60 Hz frame rate and a rated backlight life of 50,000 hours. Dynamic contrast is rated at 30,000:1. The cover glass combines 3.2 mm tempered strength, 9H surface hardness and anti-glare treatment with a 25 percent haze, keeping content readable under classroom lighting while standing up to daily stylus and finger use; two touch pens are included in the standard accessory set.

Software, accounts and management

EZWrite sessions can be extended to the cloud so participants join from their seats or from home, and files imported to the whiteboard can be exported again in editable form for later lessons. Personal login options load individual settings and cloud accounts on shared boards, split-screen mode runs two applications side by side — for example a browser beside the whiteboard — and BenQ’s device management tooling allows boards across a campus to be administered centrally. The board is rated for 18 hours a day, 7 days a week operation and carries ENERGY STAR 8.0 certification, with typical power consumption of 66.7 W.

Connections and physical details

Alongside the video inputs, the RE6504 provides PC audio (3.5 mm) input, a 3.5 mm line output, an optical SPDIF output, RS-232 control and a microSD reader. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The display measures 1482.1 x 907 x 87.7 mm, weighs 36.4 kg and mounts on a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern; a wall mount, remote control, HDMI cable, touch USB cable and power cord form part of the standard accessories.

The RE6504 concentrates the essentials of the BenQ Board line — 4K touch display, Google-certified Android platform, EZWrite collaboration software and education-focused eye care — in the 65-inch size that suits standard classrooms and mid-size meeting rooms.
