Kordz PRO4 HD 5 Metre HDMI Cable

Kordz PRO4 HD HDMI Cable — 5 Metre

The Kordz PRO4 is a professional-grade passive HDMI cable rated for the full 48 Gbps bandwidth of HDMI 2.1 — uncompressed 8K and 10K video, 4K at high refresh rates, and eARC audio — in a 5 metre length for short and medium installation runs. Kordz builds cables for the custom-install industry, and the PRO4 line is engineered and tested to carry the maximum HDMI signal without the dropouts and sparkles that expose marginal cables at high bandwidth.

At 48 Gbps there is no headroom for sloppy construction: conductor geometry, shielding and connector tolerances all decide whether a 5 metre run passes 8K cleanly. The PRO4 uses Kordz’s established build — solid-core conductors, serious shielding against the interference that lives behind AV racks, and a connector designed to grip without stressing the port — and it is backed by a lifetime warranty, which tells you how the manufacturer expects it to age.

Key features

• Full 48 Gbps bandwidth — uncompressed 8K/10K and 4K high-refresh video
• eARC support for lossless audio return from the display
• 5 metre passive construction for rack-to-display and room runs
• Professional install-grade build and shielding
• Supports dynamic HDR formats carried over HDMI 2.1
• Backed by a Kordz lifetime warranty
• Suitable for gaming PCs, consoles, media players and projectors

Where it fits

Five metres is the working length of real rooms: from an AV rack to a wall-mounted television, from a console cabinet to a projector mount, from a gaming PC to a big display. At these distances a certified-quality passive cable is the right engineering answer — active and optical cables solve longer runs, but for 5 metres passive copper done properly is simpler, more robust and needs no power.

Installation notes

Respect the cable’s bend radius, avoid crushing it under mounts and furniture, and test at your highest format — 8K, or 4K at 120 Hz with eARC — before the installation is closed up. Pair it with sources and displays that are themselves HDMI 2.1 capable; the cable can only carry what the equipment sends.

The Kordz difference

Kordz is an Australian specialist whose entire business is connectivity for professional AV. The PRO4’s job is to disappear: plug it in, pass the highest signal the standard allows, and never be the reason a system misbehaves. In an installation, that reliability is the product.

For a 5 metre HDMI 2.1 run that must simply work at full bandwidth, the PRO4 is the professional’s default choice.

Ownership notes

Coil the PRO4 loosely when it is not installed — tight coils and kinks are how good cables become intermittent ones — and keep its connectors capped or covered in dusty environments. If a system ever misbehaves, the cable should be the last suspect, not the first: swap it into a known-good short path to confirm, rather than disturbing a finished installation. Kordz’s lifetime warranty stands behind the cable for the life of the system it serves.
