Pioneer XDJ-RX3 Dj Mixer

Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX3 – The Club-Standard Layout in One Self-Contained DJ System

The Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX3 is a two-channel all-in-one DJ system: decks, mixer and a 10.1-inch touchscreen in a single unit that plays from USB drives without a laptop, and works with rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro when you want one. It borrows its layout, jog wheels and effects directly from Pioneer’s club-standard CDJ-3000 players and DJM mixer range, so the skills you build on it transfer straight onto the gear installed in clubs and festival booths.

For mobile DJs, bars, home studios and anyone upgrading from a small controller, it removes the laptop from the centre of the setup while keeping professional depth: full-size jogs with on-jog displays, eight performance pads per deck, Colour FX, Beat FX with a colour screen readout, and proper XLR master and booth outputs.

Key features

• Standalone two-deck playback from USB – no laptop required
• 10.1-inch touchscreen with waveform, browse and Touch Preview / Touch Cue
• Full-size jog wheels with on-jog LCD displays and adjustable feel
• Eight performance pads per deck – Hot Cues, Beat Loop, Beat Jump, Slip Loop and more
• Mixer section modelled on the DJM range, with Sound Colour FX and Beat FX
• Compatible with rekordbox (including Link Export) and Serato DJ Pro
• Two microphone inputs and XLR master plus booth outputs for venues
• Playlist Bank and smart browsing keep large libraries fast to search

The screen changes how you play

On smaller all-in-one units you browse a library through a cramped display; on the RX3 the 10.1-inch touchscreen shows stacked waveforms for both decks, and browsing feels like using the software itself. Touch Preview lets you audition any point of a track in your headphones without loading it, and Touch Cue previews from the waveform on the playing deck – two habits that speed up track selection enormously in a live set. The Beat FX section gets its own part of the display, so effect names, parameters and timing are always visible.

Familiar to anyone, ready for the club

Everything sits where a Pioneer DJ expects it: the jogs, the tempo sliders, the pad modes, the Colour FX knob per channel and the assignable Beat FX lever workflow. Practise at home or play a wedding on an RX3 and the muscle memory is identical when you step up to a club rig. Release FX on the pads, vinyl braking and quantised hot cues keep sets tight, and rekordbox analysis data – cues, loops, grids – travels with your USB stick between the RX3 and club players.

Connections for real-world gigs

Two USB ports accept flash drives or a rekordbox-linked device, the USB-B port connects a computer for software control, and there are inputs for external line and phono sources plus two microphones with their own EQ – essential for events and MC work. Balanced XLR master outputs feed a PA cleanly, booth outputs run your monitor, and recording your set is handled within the system.

If you want one machine that covers practice, parties, mobile gigs and bar residencies – and prepares you for club booths – the XDJ-RX3 is the complete answer in a single case-friendly unit.
