Belkin USB-C To Lightning Cable, 2 Metre — White

Belkin USB-C to Lightning Cable, 2 Metre, White

This Belkin cable connects USB-C at the source end to Lightning at the device end over 2 metres, in white. It is the lead for charging and syncing Lightning-port iPhones and accessories from a USB-C charger or computer, and the 2 metre length is the useful one: from a wall adapter to a bedside table, across a desk, or to the back seat of a car, without the device living on the floor beside the socket. Pair it with a suitable USB-C power adapter; fast charging depends on the adapter and the device as well as the cable.

Key features

• USB-C to Lightning cable, 2 metres
• White finish
• Charge and sync Lightning-port devices
• Works with USB-C chargers and computers
• Fast charging with a suitable USB-C adapter and device
• Extra length for bedside, desk and car use

The length that gets used

A one-metre cable tethers a phone to the socket’s immediate neighbourhood. Two metres is the length that lets the phone stay in your hand on the bed, on the desk while it charges, or in a passenger’s hands in the car. That is why the longer Belkin lead is the one that ends up in daily service: it removes the small daily negotiation between charging and using the device.

Charging, honestly described

The cable is one part of a charging chain. The adapter sets the available power, the device decides how much to draw, and the cable must be rated for the route; with a suitable USB-C power adapter, Lightning iPhones support fast charging, reaching roughly half a charge in about half an hour under Apple’s published conditions. This cable provides the correct, certified-style connection for that job from an established accessories maker, rather than an anonymous lead of unknown construction.

Care and handling

Insert and remove plugs by their housings, not by pulling the cable. Keep the Lightning connector’s contacts clean and dry, avoid sharp bends at the strain reliefs, and route the lead where chair wheels and drawer edges cannot work on it. Treated that way, a quality cable outlasts the phone it was bought for and moves on to the next one.

One cable, many sockets

The same lead serves the nightstand’s adapter, the laptop on the desk for syncing and backups, and the car’s USB-C port on a trip. Because Lightning devices span many iPhone generations and accessories from AirPods cases to keyboards, a sound 2 metre USB-C to Lightning cable is one of the few leads that earns a place in both the house and the travel kit, which is precisely where anonymous cables fail first.

For charging a Lightning iPhone from a USB-C adapter without living next to the socket, this 2 metre Belkin cable in white is the right lead for the job.
