Description
MX 3654 VGA Male to VGA Male Cable (2.5 m)
The MX 3654 is a 2.5 metre VGA cable with the 15-pin HD-15 connector at both ends – the analogue video link that generations of projectors, monitors and laptops were built around, and which remains standard equipment in classrooms, boardrooms, houses of worship and installed AV racks across India. It carries the analogue RGB picture from a computer or player to the display, with thumb-screws at each plug to lock the connection in place.
Key Features
- VGA (HD-15) male plugs at both ends
- 2.5 m length for desk-to-projector and rack-to-display runs
- Analogue RGB video for VGA, SVGA and XGA class displays
- Thumb-screw fasteners keep plugs seated against knocks and vibration
- The standard connection for installed projectors and older monitors
- No power or configuration – a direct cable link
Why VGA Refuses to Retire
Digital connections won the living room, but installed AV runs on what is already in the ceiling. Tens of thousands of projectors in schools, offices, banquet halls and training rooms expose a VGA input, and the laptops and players feeding them still carry matching outputs or simple adapters. A sound VGA cable keeps those systems working without an expensive rewire: the analogue signal is carried on individually screened coaxial lines inside the jacket, one per colour channel, so the picture arrives stable and free of the ghosting that poor cables show on text and spreadsheets. At 2.5 metres, this length covers the common runs – laptop on the podium to the projector input plate, PC tower under the desk to the monitor, or media player to a nearby display.
Typical Uses and Fitting
Connect a presentation laptop to a ceiling or table projector, link a desktop PC to its monitor, feed a VGA distribution amplifier, or keep as the spare in a venue’s cable kit for visiting presenters. Seat both plugs fully and snug the thumb-screws – a half-seated VGA plug is the usual cause of a missing colour channel or a picture that shifts when the table is bumped.
