Edifier GX Hi-Res Gaming Headset – Black

Edifier GX Black Hi-Res Gaming Headset

The Edifier GX Black is an over-ear gaming headset with 50mm titanium drivers, Hi-Res audio decoding and dual-microphone call noise cancellation It is made for listeners who want a straightforward, reliable upgrade without a complicated setup, and it fits naturally into a home desk, living room or studio routine.

Why Choose Edifier GX Black?

The titanium 50mm drivers with 24-bit/96kHz decoding give games and music a clear, full sound, while the retractable boom microphone with ENC dual-mic cancellation keeps team chat intelligible in a noisy room. RGB lighting on the earcups, on-ear controls and USB-C plus 3.5mm connections make it easy to move between PC, console and mobile play.

Buyers choose this model because it keeps the everyday experience simple: connect a source, set a comfortable level and listen. There is no separate amplifier to match, no complex menu to learn, and the controls stay within easy reach during normal use.

Key Features of Edifier GX Black

• 50mm titanium drivers: Hi-Res certified sound with 24-bit/96kHz decoding.
• ENC dual-microphone cancellation: Filters ambient noise from voice calls so teammates hear speech clearly.
• RGB lighting effects: Three lighting options on the earcups, switchable from on-ear controls.
• USB-C and 3.5mm connections: Works with PC, consoles and mobile devices over wired connections.
• Retractable boom microphone: Tucks away when not gaming, with game and music modes on the earcup.

Best Suited For

The headset suits PC and console gamers, students and work-from-home users who want one headset for gaming, calls and music.

Setup and Connection Guide

Connect by USB-C for digital audio or by the 3.5mm cable for analogue sources, pull the boom microphone down for chat and tap the earcup controls to switch between game and music modes or to change the lighting. Keep the headset charged over USB-C where the model requires power for its digital features.

Looking after this kind of gear is mostly about simple habits: keep it dry and out of direct heat, wipe dust from vents and grilles with a soft dry cloth, and store cables loosely coiled rather than sharply bent. Avoid dropping the unit, and keep it away from liquids, since water and impact damage are the most common causes of avoidable faults.

Sound quality also depends on the source and the room. A well-recorded track or a good stream at a higher quality setting will sound noticeably better than a low-bitrate file, and placing a speaker away from a wall corner usually gives a cleaner, less boomy balance. Small adjustments to placement and volume often make a bigger difference than any single setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the GX wireless?

No, the GX is a wired gaming headset using USB-C, USB-A and 3.5mm connections; it is not a Bluetooth headset.

How is the GX Black different from the GX Grey and GX Red already on the site?

Sound and features are the same; only the earcup and trim colour differs, with black here.

Does the microphone detach?

The boom microphone retracts into the earcup rather than detaching, so it stays with the headset.
