JBL Live 770NC Wireless Headphones (Black)

JBL Live 770NC Wireless Headphones (Black)

The JBL Live 770NC in black is an over-ear wireless headphone designed for people who listen everywhere: on flights and trains, in a busy office and at home. Its headline feature is True Adaptive Noise Cancelling, which adjusts the level of cancellation to your surroundings instead of applying one fixed setting. Around that sits the familiar JBL approach to sound, long battery life, multipoint Bluetooth and deep personalisation through the JBL Headphones app, all in a foldable over-ear design with soft ear cushions and a fabric headband.

The black finish keeps the look understated and practical for work and travel. This listing replaces the previous thin attribute set with a complete specification, so the details below reflect the full capability of the model rather than a short summary.

Noise cancelling that adapts

Fixed noise cancelling is a compromise: strong enough for a flight can feel excessive in a quiet office. True Adaptive Noise Cancelling on the Live 770NC continually adapts to the noise around you, so cancellation rises on a train or aircraft and eases where the environment is calmer. Smart Ambient works in the opposite direction, letting selected outside sound in so you can hear an announcement or hold a short conversation without removing the headphones. Together they make one headphone suitable for the whole day rather than only for the loudest part of it, and they help you listen at more comfortable volumes because you are not competing with background drone.

Sound and personalisation

The 40 mm dynamic drivers deliver JBL Signature Sound: present bass, clear vocals and enough detail for podcasts and video as well as music. JBL Spatial Sound widens the presentation for films and games, giving a more spacious sense of place. In the JBL Headphones app, Personi-Fi 2.0 runs a short hearing test and builds a personal sound profile matched to your hearing, and a custom equaliser lets you adjust the balance further and save it. Playback in Bluetooth mode covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, while the supplied detachable audio cable extends the wired response and keeps listening possible when the battery is empty.

Calls, connections and battery

Two beamforming microphones focus on your voice and reduce surrounding noise, so calls from a station platform or a windy street remain intelligible. Multipoint Bluetooth 5.3 keeps the headphones connected to a laptop and a phone simultaneously, switching to the phone when a call arrives and back to the laptop afterwards. Battery life is a genuine strength: up to 65 hours with ANC off and up to 50 hours with ANC on means charging becomes a weekly habit rather than a nightly one, and the speed-charge function rescues a flat battery with a few minutes plugged in. A full charge takes about 3 hours over USB-C.

Comfort and daily use

At about 256 g with soft ear cushions and a textured fabric headband, the Live 770NC is built for long sessions without hot spots. The earcups fold for storage, a carrying pouch is included, and on-ear controls plus auto play and pause handle the small interactions of the day. Choose the black Live 770NC if you want adaptive cancellation, spatial sound, serious battery life and proper two-device working in one over-ear headphone for travel, office and home.
