Behringer PK112A 12-Inch Active PA Speaker

Behringer PK112A 12-Inch Active PA Speaker

The Behringer PK112A is a self-contained active PA speaker that combines a 12-inch woofer, a 1-inch compression driver, a 600-watt Class-AB amplifier and a small mixer in a single portable cabinet. Because amplification, source mixing and media playback are all built in, it covers small gigs, announcements, fitness classes, school events and DJ playback without a separate amp rack or mixer. A microphone, a phone and a USB stick are enough to run a complete event.

Key features

• 600W maximum output from a Class-AB amplifier
• 12-inch low-frequency driver with 1-inch HF compression driver
• Built-in media player for USB, SD and TF card sources
• Bluetooth audio streaming with A2DP profile support
• Integrated mixer section with mic, line, aux and media inputs
• Two-band EQ with high and low shelving controls
• RCA aux output for linking the mix to another speaker or recorder
• Top and side handles with a standard pole-mount socket

One box, complete system

The value of the PK112A is what it removes from the load-in. The amplifier is already matched to the drivers, the mixer is already wired, and the media player is already on board, so setup is power, a source and a level check. For presenters and instructors that means a working PA in minutes; for venues it means a system that occasional users can operate without an engineer standing by.

The 12-inch woofer gives the cabinet enough low-end weight for music playback in small halls, while the compression driver keeps speech intelligible at the back of the room. A two-band EQ allows quick correction: pull the low shelf down in a boomy hall or lift the high shelf when the speaker sits behind the audience.

Media player and Bluetooth on board

The integrated media player reads USB sticks and SD or TF cards up to 32 GB, handling MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC and APE files, which suits break music, backing tracks and pre-recorded announcements that need to play reliably without a laptop. Bluetooth streaming covers the phone-in-hand case, with a range of up to 15 metres in clear conditions. Between the card slot, the stick and the phone, almost every real-world playback request is covered by something already in the room.

Mixer section for real inputs

Beyond playback, the rear panel accepts a microphone or line source on an XLR and quarter-inch combo input, a stereo 3.5 mm line input for phones and laptops, and an RCA aux input for media players and DJ controllers. Individual level controls let a voice sit over music, and the RCA aux output passes the mixed signal onward, which makes daisy-chaining a second powered speaker or feeding a recorder straightforward.

At 12.5 kg with handles on the top and side, the PK112A stays genuinely portable: one person can carry it, pole-mount it and have a small event running quickly, with no separate components to forget.
