Bowers & Wilkins Formation Wedge

B&W Formation Wedge — 250 Watts of Hi-Res Wireless Sound in One Striking Speaker
The Bowers & Wilkins Formation Wedge is for those who refuse to compromise between audio quality and aesthetic freedom. A single, sculpturally shaped speaker that delivers true stereo sound, hi-res wireless streaming, and 250 watts of amplification — without a single visible wire. Built for Listeners Who Demand More from Wireless
Wireless speakers have long traded convenience for quality. The Formation Wedge breaks that trade-off entirely. Using B&W's proprietary Formation mesh network — operating independently of your home Wi-Fi — it achieves a one-microsecond synchronisation between speakers, a precision that eliminates audible delay and makes multi-room audio feel genuinely cohesive. What It Is
The Formation Wedge is a powered, all-in-one wireless speaker featuring five precision drivers angled within a 120-degree elliptical enclosure. Two 2.5cm aluminium tweeters, two 9cm midrange drivers, and a 15cm subwoofer work together to project true stereo sound across an entire room. It supports 24-bit/96kHz hi-res audio over Wi-Fi for studio-quality playback. Key Features – 250W Total Amplification — Five Class D amplifiers (40W + 40W + 40W + 40W + 80W) deliver authority and headroom, ensuring clean, dynamic audio even at high volumes. – 24-bit/96kHz Hi-Res Audio — Streams lossless, studio-master quality audio over Wi-Fi so every detail of the recording reaches your ears uncompressed. – Formation Mesh Network — B&W's proprietary wireless system achieves one-microsecond speaker sync, making multi-room and stereo pair setups feel seamless and perfectly timed. – Apple AirPlay 2 & Bluetooth aptX Adaptive — Stream directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device with adaptive bitrate for consistently high-quality wireless audio. – Spotify Connect, Roon & Tidal Ready — Works natively with all major streaming platforms so music starts without routing through your phone. – 120° Elliptical Driver Array — Five precisely angled drivers ensure sound reaches every corner of the room, not just the sweet spot directly in front. Why the Formation Wedge Stands Out
Most wireless speakers are either too small to fill a room or too large to live elegantly in one. The Formation Wedge occupies a rare position: a speaker that fills large spaces with genuine stereo imaging — no satellite speakers, no subwoofer, no cables — while looking like a considered piece of furniture. The angled enclosure isn't just aesthetic; it's acoustically calculated to widen the stereo image beyond what conventional rectangular cabinets can achieve. Perfect For – Design-conscious audiophiles — who want serious sound without equipment dominating the room's aesthetic. – Hi-res streaming enthusiasts — who stream from Tidal HiFi, Qobuz, or Roon and want a speaker that honours the format. – Multi-room audio users — building a Formation ecosystem where every room is perfectly synchronised. Best Suited For
Ideal for medium to large living rooms where a single premium speaker needs to create a convincing stereo image. Works as a standalone statement piece or as part of a wider B&W Formation multi-room setup. Our Promise
