The BenQ TH585P is a Full HD home entertainment and gaming projector that puts a cinema-size picture within reach of a modest budget. It delivers 3,500 ANSI lumens at native 1080p — bright enough for living rooms that are never fully dark — with 95% Rec.709 colour coverage, a dedicated Game Mode and 16 ms input lag for console play that feels as responsive as it looks.
A 6-segment colour wheel and BenQ’s CinematicColor tuning keep film colour honest, while LampSave mode stretches the lamp to 15,000 hours, so the running cost of that huge picture stays small.

Vertical keystone correction for flexible placement
Gaming Without the Lag Penalty
Big-screen gaming fails when the picture trails your inputs. The TH585P’s 16 ms lag is a single frame at 60 Hz — the same responsiveness as a good TV — and Game Mode is tuned to reveal shadow detail so dark scenes stay playable, not murky. On a 100-inch-plus image, racing and sports titles gain a sense of speed and scale no monitor matches.
LampSave: 15,000 Hours, Lower Bills
LampSave dynamically adjusts lamp power to the content on screen, dimming for dark scenes and brightening for sport, which extends lamp life to as much as 15,000 hours and cuts power draw (Eco mode uses around 206 W against 340 W maximum). Over years of use, that is one of the cheapest per-hour costs in big-screen entertainment.
Where the TH585P Fits
First home cinemas, living-room sports and movie nights, and console gaming setups where value matters as much as size. It is light at 2.79 kg, so it can move between rooms or mount permanently on the ceiling — digital lens shift and keystone correction forgive imperfect placement.
