BenQ W4100I 4K UHD 4LED Smart Home Cinema Projector

BenQ W4100i 4K UHD 4LED Smart Home Cinema Projector – Reference Colour, LED Permanence

The W4100i is BenQ’s home-cinema projector for viewers who grade picture quality the way BenQ does: by colour accuracy first. Its 4LED light source delivers 3,200 ANSI lumens with full DCI-P3 coverage under BenQ’s CinematicColor programme – factory-calibrated colour, verified per unit in spirit – while HDR-PRO tone mapping and HDR10+ support handle dynamic content properly. It is a distinct model from the W4000i, refining the formula with updated HDR handling and smart features, for dedicated theatre rooms and serious living-room cinemas.

4LED for the long term

LED light sources hold brightness and colour calibration for tens of thousands of hours, switch on instantly and never ask for a lamp budget. For a cinema room that will be used for a decade, that stability is the foundation of the investment: the W4100i’s colour in year five is the colour it was calibrated to in week one, which cannot be said of lamp-based rivals at any price.

Colour accuracy as the headline

BenQ’s CinematicColor programme exists because brightness is easy to quote and accuracy is hard to achieve. The W4100i covers the full DCI-P3 gamut used to grade modern films, with factory calibration aimed at the Delta E tolerances reviewers measure rather than marketers invent. Skin tones, the hardest test, stay inside the lines – faces look like faces in candlelight and in daylight scenes alike.

HDR-PRO and Filmmaker Mode

HDR-PRO tone mapping works at the projector’s actual brightness, preserving highlight detail and shadow gradation simultaneously, and HDR10+ adds per-scene metadata from supporting titles. Filmmaker Mode strips out motion smoothing and processing so films play at their intended cadence and colour – the mode the industry created because enthusiasts kept demanding the director’s version, unaltered.

For a dedicated cinema room being built around colour truth, the W4100i is BenQ’s purest current expression of it.
