JMGO N1 Triple Laser Projector

JMGO N1 Triple Laser Projector

The JMGO N1 is a portable smart projector built around JMGO’s MALC triple-colour laser light source, the same RGB laser approach used in cinema projection, scaled into a compact body of 187 x 165 x 191 mm weighing about 2.0 kg. It projects a native Full HD picture (1920 x 1080) and accepts 4K input signals, with a rated brightness of 800 CVIA lumens, a native contrast ratio of 1,600:1 and colour coverage of 110 percent of BT.2020 with colour accuracy rated at Delta E below 1. The defining hardware feature is the integrated gimbal stand, which tilts through 127 degrees so the image can be aimed at a wall, a screen or the ceiling, while automatic focus, keystone correction and screen alignment keep setup to a matter of seconds.

Key features

• MALC triple laser engine: Separate red, green and blue laser light combined in JMGO’s MALC optics for wide-gamut colour and a rated light source life of up to 30,000 hours.
• Full HD projection: Native 1920 x 1080 resolution from a 0.33-inch DMD chip, with support for 4K input signals and HDR10 and HLG content.
• Wide colour gamut: 110 percent BT.2020 coverage with Delta E below 1 colour accuracy and a 1,600:1 native (FOFO) contrast ratio.
• Integrated gimbal: The built-in stand adjusts through 127 degrees vertically, projecting onto walls or ceilings without a separate tripod.
• Automatic image setup: Autofocus, auto keystone correction, auto screen fitting and obstacle avoidance align the picture automatically after every move.
• Dynaudio sound: Two 5 W speakers co-developed with Dynaudio, with Dolby Audio and DTS decoding, give the projector self-contained sound.
• Android TV 11: Google Play app access, Chromecast built-in and Google Assistant voice control are integrated, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity.
• Quiet running: Operating noise is rated at 26 dB or below, low enough to sit close to the audience during quiet scenes.

Picture performance

Because the MALC engine generates colour directly from three lasers rather than filtering white light, the N1 holds saturated colour at brightness levels where lamp and LED designs wash out, and JMGO’s LSR dynamic speckle reduction works to suppress the grain-like speckle that laser projection can produce. The 1.2:1 throw ratio fills screen sizes from 60 to 150 inches at practical living-room distances, and the dynamic contrast system extends the rated figure well beyond the native 1,600:1 for dark-room movie viewing. Ten-bit colour handling and the wide BT.2020 gamut suit HDR streams and discs played through the HDMI inputs.

Smart platform and connections

Android TV 11 runs streaming applications directly on the projector, and Chromecast built-in accepts casts from phones and laptops. Two HDMI 2.1 inputs are provided, one supporting eARC for passing audio back to a soundbar or receiver, alongside a USB port and a 3.5 mm headphone output. Wi-Fi 6 handles high-bitrate streaming on congested home networks, and Bluetooth 5.0 connects wireless headphones or speakers for private or larger-scale listening.

Portability and everyday use

The gimbal base, low weight and automatic alignment make the N1 a move-it-anywhere projector: a bedroom ceiling becomes a screen, then the same unit serves the living room the next evening. Smart eye protection dims the image when someone passes in front of the lens, and the laser source reaches full brightness without a warm-up period and holds that output consistently across its rated life rather than dimming steadily like a lamp.

For viewers who want genuine laser colour and a large picture without a fixed installation, ceiling mount or separate media player, the N1 concentrates the essential home cinema hardware — laser engine, smart platform and tuned stereo sound — into one portable unit.
