Optoma AZH430UST Full HD Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector

Optoma AZH430UST Full HD Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector

The Optoma AZH430UST is an ultra-short-throw laser projector for classrooms, meeting rooms and signage, projecting a Full HD image (1920 x 1080) of 80 to 130 inches from a few centimetres of throw distance. Its DuraCore laser source delivers 4,000 lumens and up to 30,000 hours of life, sealed to IP6X against dust. Because the projector mounts directly above or below the screen, presenters work without shadows and rooms keep their ceiling free for lights and services.

Key features

• Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution
• 4,000 lumens DuraCore laser brightness
• Up to 30,000 hours light source life
• Ultra short throw, 0.253:1

• 24/7 operation and 360-degree installation
• 15 W built-in speaker

Ultra short throw in the room

A 0.253:1 throw ratio means the AZH430UST forms its largest 130-inch image from roughly 80 cm of lens-to-screen distance, and a 100-inch image from about half a metre. In a classroom that puts the unit on a wall boom above the board; in a meeting room it sits on the credenza under the screen. Either way, nobody walks through the beam, the teacher or presenter is not lit by the projector, and the installation cabling is a short HDMI run instead of a ceiling-length one.

Laser economics

The purchasing case mirrors other DuraCore models: 30,000 hours of rated life with sealed optics translates into no lamp budget, no filter cleaning schedule and brightness that stays close to its day-one figure. Contrast is rated at 300,000:1 with dynamic control reaching 2,000,000:1. Instant power-on suits timetabled rooms, and the projector is rated for continuous 24/7 duty in signage roles.

Connectivity and control

Two HDMI 2.0 inputs, VGA, USB power, RS-232 and LAN with Crestron and AMX compatibility cover classroom and corporate standards, and a 15 W speaker handles lesson and presentation audio without external equipment. Four-corner keystone correction aligns the image when the wall or mount is imperfect.

Physical details

The AZH430UST measures approximately 327 x 327 x 110 mm and weighs about 6.1 kg. Fan noise is rated at 27 to 34 dB depending on brightness mode — low enough for quiet classrooms at eco settings.

Choosing the AZH430UST

The model suits buyers who have already decided on the ultra-short-throw format and want it in Full HD with laser running costs: education estates standardising on interactive boards, training rooms with fixed seating, and retail or museum signage where the projector must run all day, every day, without a maintenance contract built around lamp swaps. Its 1080p panel matches the native resolution of most teaching and signage content, so no processing is wasted on resolution the sources do not carry.
