Description
Ahuja ASC-40T: 30 W Indoor and Outdoor PA Column Speaker
A tall aluminium column speaker with four drivers, 30 W RMS at 100 V and a forward-radiating array for wide audience coverage.
Built for 100 V Line Public Address Systems
Large buildings need even, intelligible sound in every room without running thick speaker cable back to the amplifier. 100 V line speakers solve this by using a built-in line matching transformer with selectable power taps.
What It Is
The Ahuja ASC-40T is a PA column speaker for indoor and outdoor use in halls, auditoria and airport lounges. It has four 6 x 4 inch drivers, 30 W RMS (45 W maximum) with 30, 20, 10 and 5 W power taps at 100 V, in an aluminium cabinet with a black mesh grille.
Key Features
- Four-driver column: An array that radiates a forward sound beam for wider audience coverage.
- 30 W RMS at 100 V: 45 W maximum; taps of 30/20/10/5 W.
- Weather resistant: Foam dust protection and suitable for use under roof eaves.
- Aluminium cabinet: Strong, with a black mesh grille.
- Rotary tap switch: A 100 V transformer with rotary switch for tap selection.
- Mounting hardware: Supplied with the speaker.
Why the Ahuja ASC-40T Stands Out
Column speakers focus sound where the audience is, which improves speech clarity in reverberant spaces. At 910 mm tall and 5.1 kg, the ASC-40T is easy to install vertically.
Planning a 100 V Line System
A 100 V line system lets you connect many speakers to one amplifier over long, thin cables. Add up the tap settings of all speakers on a line and keep the total below the amplifier’s rated power, leaving some headroom. Choose a higher tap where you need louder coverage and a lower tap where the background level is enough. Always switch the amplifier off before wiring, check polarity, and use a qualified installer for ceiling and wall work. Matching tap settings to the room is the key to even, clear sound.
