Argon Audio FORUS 4 Passive Bookshelf Speaker Pair

Argon Audio FORUS 4 Passive Bookshelf Speaker Pair
Argon Audio FORUS 4 is a compact passive stereo speaker pair with a 4-inch woofer and a 0.75-inch soft-dome tweeter. It suits a small two-channel listening system when powered by a suitable external amplifier. Why Choose Argon Audio FORUS 4? The 4-ohm impedance is an important amplifier-selection detail. Connect music sources to the amplifier, then use appropriate speaker cables to the FORUS 4 pair. This bookshelf model differs from the separate FORUS 4 WALL model, so cabinet dimensions and mounting details should be compared by exact name. Key Features – Passive two-way design: works with an external stereo amplifier. – 4-inch woofer: fits a compact bookshelf cabinet. – Soft-dome tweeter: handles the upper-frequency range. – Magnetic grilles: provide removable front covers. Best Suited For
Small stereo listening systems using a suitable external amplifier or receiver. Choose the pair around room layout, listening distance and amplifier compatibility. Speaker placement and room acoustics influence bass and imaging, so the best arrangement should be checked in the actual listening space. Setup and Connection Guide
Connect suitable speaker cables with matching polarity while the amplifier is switched off. Position the left and right speakers at similar distances from the listening seat, with stable support. Begin with a low playback level and adjust spacing and distance from the rear wall as needed. Confirm that the amplifier supports the speaker load before increasing volume. Frequently Asked Questions
Can FORUS 4 play Bluetooth music without an amplifier? No. Bluetooth or other sources connect through an appropriate amplifier or receiver. The passive speakers require an amplified speaker-level connection and suitable cable. Do passive speakers need a mains plug? The speakers receive their operating signal from an external power amplifier through speaker cable. The amplifier needs power, while the passive speaker pair does not use a separate mains supply for built-in amplification. Can I connect a phone directly to the speaker terminals? No. A phone supplies a source-level signal rather than loudspeaker-driving power. Connect it to a compatible amplifier or receiver, then connect that device’s speaker outputs to the pair.
