The Legacy Audio Silhouette Centre Channel Speaker is a shallow on-wall centre with a 4-inch AMT ribbon, dual 7-inch midranges and dual 8-inch radiators, reaching 55 Hz – 28 kHz at 92 dB.
Legacy’s folded-ribbon tweeter with a high-temperature Kapton diaphragm keeps dialogue airy and detailed without harshness.
Two silver/graphite midrange drivers deliver the body and projection that centre dialogue needs at cinema levels.
Mass-loaded passive radiators lay the bass foundation from a cabinet only about 5 inches deep.
The internal crossover is engineered around the wall-boundary dip of conventional on-wall speakers, so response at the seat stays correct.
A 5.125-inch-deep on-wall design with contoured, anti-diffractive edges looks like part of the room, not a box hung on it.
The Legacy Audio Silhouette Centre Channel Speaker is the companion centre to Legacy’s Silhouette mains, and it proves that an on-wall centre does not have to sound like a compromise. From a cabinet only about five inches deep it fields a 4-inch AMT folded-ribbon tweeter, dual 7-inch silver/graphite midrange drivers and dual 8-inch mass-loaded radiators, reaching from 55 Hz to 28 kHz with 92 dB sensitivity — dialogue that stays intelligible, anchored and full-bodied at real cinema levels.
Why Choose Legacy Audio Silhouette Centre Channel Speaker?
Home cinema owners choose the Legacy Audio Silhouette Centre Channel Speaker because the centre channel carries most of a film’s dialogue and much of its front-stage weight, and this is the channel where thin on-wall speakers fail first. Legacy’s boundary-corrected crossover, high-acceleration midranges and ribbon treble keep voices natural and locked to the screen, while the shallow cabinet and French cleat mounting make it a realistic fit under a screen in a living room rather than a dedicated theatre.

Best Suited For
The Legacy Audio Silhouette Centre Channel Speaker suits serious home cinemas and media rooms built around Silhouette mains, especially wall-mounted screen installations where a deep centre cabinet is impractical. It is the right centre for listeners who prioritise dialogue clarity, wide dynamics and a finish that matches a premium room.
Setup and Connection Guide
Mount the speaker on the wall above or below the screen using its French cleat brackets, centred on the listening position and aimed at ear height as closely as the room allows. Connect a single pair of speaker cables to the recessed binding-post cup from an amplifier rated 15–250 watts into 4 ohms, then run your processor’s room correction and set the centre crossover to blend with your subwoofer. Because the cabinet is only about five inches deep, leave the grille clearance in mind when planning screen or panel positions.
