JBL EON718S 18-Inch Powered Subwoofer

JBL EON718S 18-Inch Powered Subwoofer

The JBL EON718S 18-Inch Powered Subwoofer is a powered 18-inch subwoofer from the EON700 series, built to add deep, high-output bass to EON full-range systems.

At a glance, the JBL EON718S 18-Inch Powered Subwoofer stands out for 1500 w peak power (750 watts RMS and 1500 watts peak from a Class D amplifier); 18-inch woofer (an 18-inch driver for deep, high-output bass); built-in dsp (a colour LCD, 8-band output EQ and selectable crossover points); dbx driverack inside (automatic feedback suppression and speaker protection); m20 pole socket (mount a full-range speaker above the subwoofer on a pole). Those points, taken together with the specification table below, are what separate this model from cheaper or differently sized alternatives in the same range.

Why Choose JBL EON718S 18-Inch Powered Subwoofer?

The JBL EON718S 18-Inch Powered Subwoofer is the bass foundation for an EON700 system. Its 18-inch driver and 1500-watt peak output fill large rooms, and the selectable crossover lets it match any EON top box.

In practice, buyers choose this model for the combination above rather than for any single figure: the headline features work together, so the product sounds right in its intended setting instead of excelling in one area and falling short in another.

Setup and Connection Guide

Place the subwoofer on the floor, connect the mixer to a combo input, loop the signal to further units over XLR, set the crossover to match the full-range speakers, and pole-mount a top box on the M20 socket if needed.

Before first use, confirm that the amplifier or source matches the connections and ratings in the specification table, start with levels low, and raise them gradually while listening from the normal seating or working position. That simple check avoids clipping, protects the drivers, and gives a fair first impression of what this product can do.

Also check the room and power side before ordering: measure the space the product will occupy, confirm the amplifier, television or source has a matching output, and allow ventilation and cable access around the unit so installation is straightforward on delivery day.
