Description
JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer
The JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer adds the deep bass that transforms a JRX PA from a vocal system into a full-range rig. An 18-inch driver with 350 W continuous (1400 W peak) handling and 96 dB sensitivity delivers the low-frequency weight DJs and bands need, in a compact cabinet that stays manageable to move. The JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer is the bass foundation for JRX215 and JRX225 systems.
Why Choose JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer?
Buyers choose the JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer because a dedicated sub does what full-range boxes cannot: clean, powerful bass at high level without straining the main speakers. Its compact size suits mobile DJs and small venues, while its 4-ohm design pairs efficiently with a dedicated sub amplifier channel. For any JRX rig that plays dance music or live bass-heavy material, the JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer is the natural addition.
Key Features
The JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer packs the features buyers ask for first, in a package that is easy to live with every day.
- 18-inch low-frequency output: A compact subwoofer that adds genuine deep bass to JRX full-range systems.
- 350 W continuous handling: 1400 W peak capability for punchy, dynamic low end.
- Compact footprint: A smaller cabinet than many 18-inch subs, easier to transport and place.
- 4-ohm design: Efficient power transfer from a suitable subwoofer amplifier channel.
- System-matched: Designed to pair with JRX215 and JRX225 full-range speakers.
Best Suited For
The JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer suits DJs, bands, clubs, schools and rental fleets running passive JRX systems that need real low-frequency extension for music playback and live performance.
Setup and Connection Guide
Drive the JBL JRX218S 18-Inch Passive Compact Subwoofer from a suitable amplifier channel rated for a 4-ohm load and its 350 W continuous / 1400 W peak handling. Place it on the floor near the main speakers, and use a crossover or your mixer’s sub output to feed it only low frequencies. Start with conservative levels and raise them until the bass balances the main speakers without overpowering them.
