200W Class-D Amplification
The LSR310S is powered by a 200W Class-D amplifier — a topology that combines high power output with exceptional efficiency and minimal heat generation. This high-power amplification drives the custom 10-inch woofer to its full potential, delivering clean, controlled bass down to 27Hz (–6dB) with a maximum SPL of 112dB. Whether you are evaluating the sub-bass content of a mastered track or listening for low-frequency artefacts in a mix, the LSR310S provides the clarity and headroom you need.
Room Mode Correction (RMC)
Low-frequency monitoring in typical studio environments is compromised by acoustic room modes — standing waves that create peaks and nulls in the bass response that cause the monitor to sound very different at different positions in the room. The LSR310S features JBL’s Room Mode Correction (RMC) — a sophisticated system that analyses the room’s acoustic signature at the listening position and applies correction filters to compensate for the worst room mode effects. This results in a substantially more accurate and consistent bass response at the mix position, regardless of room shape or dimensions.
Variable Crossover & Polarity
The LSR310S provides a continuously variable crossover frequency from 60Hz to 120Hz, allowing precise integration with a wide variety of satellite monitors. Both LFE and full-range input modes are supported. A polarity reversal switch and level trim control ensure seamless blending with any monitor configuration in 2.1, 5.1, or 7.1 studio setups.
