Description
Bose SoundLink Flex Portable Bluetooth Speaker (2nd Gen) (Alpine Sage)
The second-generation Bose SoundLink Flex is a packable portable speaker engineered to produce high-fidelity sound – crisp, nuanced audio with surprisingly deep bass – from a body small enough to carry in one hand or clip to the outside of a backpack. This listing is for the Alpine Sage finish.
Bose’s PositionIQ technology is built in: the speaker senses whether it is standing upright, lying flat or hanging from its loop, and automatically adjusts its output so the sound stays optimised for that orientation. A custom full-range transducer works with dual passive radiators to keep low frequencies full at any volume, indoors or out.
Key Features
- High-fidelity Bose sound with deep bass from a compact, packable body
- PositionIQ automatically optimises sound for any orientation
- Up to 12 hours of battery life per charge, USB-C charging
- IP67 rated – waterproof and dustproof, with a rugged silicone-wrapped body
- Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint connection and up to 9 m range
- Pair two compatible speakers in Stereo Mode or Party Mode
- SimpleSync pairs with compatible Bose soundbars for TV listening
- Built-in microphone for hands-free calls, Bose app with adjustable EQ
Built for the outdoors
The SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is sealed to the IP67 standard, meaning it is waterproof in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes and completely dust-tight. The silicone-wrapped body resists drops, rust and UV exposure, and the powder-coated steel grille is built to be knocked about in a bag. A nylon utility loop lets it hang from a backpack, bike or beach chair, so the music does not have to stop where the path gets rough.
Connections and pairing
Bluetooth 5.3 holds a stable connection up to about 9 metres, and multipoint lets two devices stay connected at once – a laptop and a phone, for example – without re-pairing. Adding a second compatible Bose speaker unlocks Stereo Mode for a proper left-right image or Party Mode for bigger, bolder sound across a space. Through SimpleSync, the speaker can also join a compatible Bose soundbar, handy for listening in another room or at lower volume late at night.
