Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless Earbuds (White)

Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless Earbuds White

The Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless in white builds on the CX platform by adding active noise cancellation, giving listeners Sennheiser’s TrueResponse sound with a way to quiet the world around it. Each earbud carries a 7 mm dynamic TrueResponse transducer, the same driver family used in Sennheiser’s higher models, tuned for clear detail, controlled bass and natural vocals. The result is a true wireless earbud aimed at people who care about sound first and features second, but who still want the features done properly.

Active noise cancellation reduces the steady noise of aircraft cabins, trains, buses and air-conditioned offices, while Transparent Hearing lets surrounding sound back in at a touch for announcements, traffic and quick conversations. Battery life runs up to 8 hours from the earbuds and up to 24 hours in total with the charging case.

Noise cancellation and awareness

The ANC on the CX Plus is tuned for the constant, low-frequency noise that makes travel tiring. It takes the edge off engine drone and cabin hum so music can play at lower, safer volumes. Because cancellation is only useful when the seal is right, the included ear adapters in XS, S, M and L sizes matter: a correct fit improves both isolation and bass. Transparent Hearing answers the opposite need, passing outside sound through the microphones so you can hear a platform announcement or cross a road safely without removing an earbud.

Sound and codecs

Frequency response extends from 5 Hz to 21 kHz, and codec support is unusually complete for this class. Alongside SBC and AAC, aptX and aptX Adaptive are supported, with the adaptive codec adjusting bitrate to connection conditions on compatible Android devices. The Smart Control app adds an equaliser and a Bass Boost preset for listeners who want more low-end weight, plus control customisation and firmware updates.

Calls, controls and daily use

Each earbud can be used independently, and touch surfaces handle playback, calls, volume and voice assistant access, with the option to reassign functions in the app. Beamforming microphones focus on the voice for clearer calls. The earbuds weigh about 6 g each, the white finish keeps the look clean, and the compact case charges over USB-C, with a full charge taking around 1.5 hours and a 10-minute top-up returning about an hour of listening.

Fit and durability

IPX4 rating means splashes and workout sweat are not a concern. The ergonomic housing sits securely enough for running and gym use when the right adapter size is chosen, and the adapters themselves are replaceable wear parts, which extends the useful life of the earbuds.

For listeners who want genuine Sennheiser tuning, effective noise cancellation and full aptX support without moving to flagship pricing, the CX Plus True Wireless in white is a well-judged balance of sound, features and value.
