The FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer is a 1200 W RMS active 15-inch subwoofer with four DSP presets, stereo high-pass-filtered outputs, and 135 dB peak SPL.
FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer – 1200 W RMS Active 15-inch Subwoofer
The FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer is a powerful active 15-inch subwoofer built to add deep, controlled bass to FBT PA systems and to any professional setup that needs real low-frequency weight. Its 15-inch woofer with a 3-inch voice coil, driven by a 1200 W RMS Class-D amplifier, reaches down to 42 Hz with a maximum SPL of 135 dB peak in half-space. With four DSP presets, stereo inputs and outputs, and a birch plywood enclosure, the FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer is a road-ready low-frequency foundation for live sound.
Why Choose the FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer?
The FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer stands out because it combines high output with the tuning flexibility that system engineers need. The four DSP presets adapt the sub to different tops and room types, while the stereo combo XLR and jack inputs, stereo XLR link outputs, and stereo XLR high-pass-filtered outputs make it simple to feed tops from the sub and keep the crossover clean. The 15 mm birch plywood cabinet with a black powder-coated steel grille survives touring, and the M20 stand adapter lets you pole-mount a full-range top directly above the sub for a tidy, professional stack. At 30 kg, the FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer is substantial, but its output justifies every kilogram for DJs, bands, and event companies.
Key Features
1200 W RMS Class-D power: The Class-D amplifier delivers 1200 W RMS to the 15-inch woofer for deep, sustained bass at high levels.
15-inch woofer, 3-inch voice coil: The 380 mm woofer with a large 3-inch voice coil handles high power with low distortion and long excursion.
42 Hz low-frequency extension: A frequency range of 42 Hz to 120 Hz (minus 6 dB) covers the fundamental range of kick drums, bass guitars, and dance music.
Four DSP presets: Four presets tune the sub for different tops, rooms, and programme material without external processing.
Complete stereo connectivity: Stereo combo inputs, stereo link outputs, and stereo high-pass-filtered outputs integrate the sub with any tops.
Tour-ready birch cabinet: The 15 mm birch plywood enclosure with steel grille and M20 stand adapter is built for transport and pole mounting.
Best Suited For
The FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer is best suited for DJs, live bands, event companies, clubs, and houses of worship that need powerful low-frequency reinforcement. It pairs naturally with FBT full-range tops, works as a single sub under a stereo pair for a wedding or party, and scales to multiple units for larger halls and outdoor events.
Setup and Connection Guide
Place the FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer on the floor, ideally centred or near a wall for extra low-frequency support, and connect your mixer outputs to the stereo combo XLR or jack inputs. Feed your full-range tops from the stereo high-pass-filtered XLR outputs so the tops and sub do not overlap, or use the link outputs if your tops handle their own crossover. Choose the DSP preset that matches your tops and programme, set the sub level so the bass sits under the mix rather than dominating it, and use the M20 stand adapter with a pole to mount a top above the sub when you want a compact stack. For larger rooms, add a second unit and balance the two subs from your mixer for even coverage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer need an external amplifier?
No. It is fully active with a built-in 1200 W RMS Class-D amplifier, so it only needs mains power and a line-level signal.
Can I pole-mount a speaker on top of the FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer?
Yes. The M20 stand adapter on top accepts a standard pole for mounting a full-range top directly above the sub.
What tops pair well with the FBT X-SUB 115SA Active Subwoofer?
Any professional full-range top works through the high-pass-filtered outputs, and it pairs naturally with FBT powered tops such as the X-Lite series.
