BIC America Acoustech PL-980 Floorstanding Tower Speakers — Pair
BIC America Acoustech PL-980 Floorstanding Tower Speakers — Pair
BIC America Acoustech PL-980 is a passive floorstanding tower speakers listing, supplied as a pair. Why Choose BIC America Acoustech PL-980? The PL-980 is a passive three-way tower design. Each cabinet uses two active 8-inch woofers, two passive radiators, a dedicated midrange and a horn tweeter. Passive radiators should not be described as additional powered drive units. This listing supplies a pair for the left and right positions. Key Features – External amplifier required. – Floorstanding Tower Speakers application. – Model-specific placement and wiring. – Selling unit: Pair. Best Suited For
Building a stereo, installed or home-theatre system with an appropriate external amplifier. Choose the cabinet’s role first: a centre speaker carries a different channel from a stereo pair, and an in-ceiling design requires a suitable installation opening. Plan the listening positions, cable routes and available mounting space before purchasing. Nominal impedance and recommended amplifier range guide system matching; they do not describe a built-in amplifier or guarantee the same output in every room. Setup and Connection Guide
Turn the amplifier off before wiring the speakers. Connect the correct channels using suitable speaker cable and maintain consistent polarity. Place or install each cabinet according to its designated role and the manufacturer instructions, leaving the required clearance and secure support. For a recessed installation, check the structure, cavity and hidden services before cutting; use a suitably qualified installer where appropriate. Start playback at a low level and verify each channel independently. Configure receiver speaker size, channel level and crossover for the complete system. Avoid short circuits and do not connect several cabinets to one channel without calculating the combined load. Frequently Asked Questions
Does this listing include an amplifier or a full surround system? No. It identifies a pair of Acoustech PL-980 speakers. Select an appropriate amplifier or receiver and any other channels separately for the intended layout. Can a passive speaker play directly from a phone headphone output? No. It requires an appropriate power amplifier or AV receiver. A phone or player supplies a source signal through a suitable upstream connection. Does a pair listing mean a complete surround-sound package? No. A pair identifies two speakers in that listing. Additional centre, surround, height or subwoofer channels must be selected separately for the intended system. Technical Specifications Specification
